I woke up and I looked around and I saw Caroline

I was in my dorm at the school

Hey, Peter. Caroline said

Do you remember what happened? Caroline asked and I nodded

You are a hybrid now, so to complete the transition you have to drink this. Caroline said and gave me a blood bag

I'll be in my office if you need me. Caroline said

I opened the blood bag and slowly drank from it

As I did I felt veins under my eyes and I felt my fangs grow out

I finished the blood bag and I threw it on the floor

After a few minutes there was a knock on the door and i went to open it and I saw Hope

Peter, me and aunt Freya were gonna go back to New Orleans, my mom's funeral is today, do you want to come with us? She asked

No. I said and walked away from the door

But you loved my mom, and I know she would love you there. Hope said

I said no Hope, now leave me alone. I said

So you turn into a hybrid and become a jerk? Hope asked

I'm grieving, I saw Hayley as a mother, she was there for me and she cared about me more than anyone else did. And now she's gone, I lost someone who I saw as a parent, I can't get over that. I said and sat down on my bed

Hope walked over and sat next to me and grabbed my hand

I'm sorry, I miss her too, but we have to stick together, you don't have to come to the funeral just come to New Orleans. Hope said

Fine, I don't have control yet so I can just stay at the compound. I said

I'm at the compound the funeral is over because it ended to quick but Hope and Freya left to go to the one with the werewolves in the bayou

I decided that I would go to this one

I am putting on a suit that Hayley got me on Christmas

After that I started heading to the bayou

When I got there I saw Marcel, Vincent, Josh Freya's girlfriend

And I also saw Freya and Hope by where the flower bed was it was on a raft that we were going to push out into the lake and set on fire

I walked over to where Hope and Freya were and Freya saw me first and smiled

Then Hope looked over and saw me and she smiled and hugged me

I thought you couldn't control your vampire side yet. Hope said

I can't, but I can't leave you to do this alone. I said

The funeral is over and I am in my room at the compound

I am laying on the bed throwing a ball in the air and catching it

Then I heard a knock at the door that was already open

I looked at the door and saw Hope with two small boxes in her hand

Hey. I said and sat up in the bed

Hey, so me and aunt Freya were going through my mom's room and we found these, they are for you. Hope said and walked over and sat on the bed

I think it was for your birthday. Hope said

My birthday is in two months. I said

I guess she wanted to be prepared open it. Hope said I opened the first box and I saw a necklace

I read the note inside the box and I smiled

Then I opened the second box and I saw a ring

They look cool. Hope said

Yeah. I said and closed my eyes and Hope hugged me

Get some sleep, I'll see you in the morning. Hope said

Yeah. I said and she left the room and I turned off the light and fell asleep
