Lucy's POV:

I looked at my brother in disbelief. He broke the silence by chuckling quietly to himself. I looked at him as a question popped into my head. "What's your angle?" I said, turning my head to the side in a quizzical look. His head turned to look at me, running a hand through his somewhat messy hair. The moonlight coming from the window shimmered reflecting off the colour of his naturally bleach blonde hair.
"What?" He asked.
"You heard me, what do you want out of this?"

Draco's POV:

I really wanted to say 'because I want to keep you safe from The Dark Lord, cause I don't wanna see you get hurt, and I just fucking love seeing my sister with a smile on her face.'  I couldn't lose her the way I lost myself. I've been taught from an early age how to deal with this stuff. I didn't have an older sister or brother who could shield me from the truth. God, I sound awful. How would my parents react if they knew what I was doing or thinking?
"Are you gonna answer?" asked my sister.
"I... just think it'd be good for you to make friends outside of your house."
"I already know almost all the Ravenclaws."
Shit. "Yeah, but wouldn't it be good for you to get out more than just the Ravenclaws and their stupid study parties?"
Lucy shrugged.
"Luce, I'm trying to help you."

Lucy's POV:

I can't say I wasn't expecting that. Of course Draco wanted me to get more popular among the people at Hogwarts, to follow in his footsteps, or god knows what. I pulled my knees up to my chest, hugging them close. He placed a hand on one of my kneecaps and had an empathetic but stern look on his face. The whole thing seemed out of character for him... like he was hiding something.
My brother looked at the ground. The silence was soon broken by a knock at my door.
Draco seemed to have brought his attention to the sound as well.
"Come in!" I called.

Draco's POV

"Come in!" Lucy called.
My friend Blaise walked into the room, smirking at my sister, jokingly.
"Zabini, what did I say about coming into my sister's room?" I laughed, standing up and walking over to him.
"Sorry, Malfoy... I-I didn't know where else to find yo- Hi, Lucy!"
I heard her chuckled at Blaise's lame attempt to hide his stutter.
"Your mom wants you."
I sighed, walking towards the door, Blaise walked further into the room but I stopped him dead in his tracks, putting my hand firmly on his shoulder, forcefully turned and pushed him out.
"Okay, okay!" he laughed, I heard my sister giggle again.

~ The Next Day ~

Lucy's POV

I woke up to the sound of a tapping at my window, a barn owl flapping its wings was tapping on the glass. I got up, pushing the window open, a warm breeze touched my cheeks and neck. The owl flew into my room, perching itself at the foot of my bed, a letter in its sharp, untamed talons.
Carefully taking it, I read the heading, it was from Harry! I rushed to open it but was interrupted by a knock at my door. Panicked, I shoved the letter under my pillow.
"Come in!" I said after the letter was safely, stuffed away.
My mother entered the room. "There you are!" She looked at my small figure up and down. "Are you still in your nightwear, tsk, Draco and Blaise got sized for their part clothes yesterday, it's your turn after breakfast-"
"Ugh" I fell down onto my bed, rolling my eyes.
'After your fitting your father is taking you out for lunch."
"Why?"
"He wants to talk to you."
"Where?"
Mother hesitated, biting the inside of her cheek, "It's a surprise."
Father hates surprises.
