"I have not seen your sister in years." Tywin remarked. "I should say hello.""You are a married man." Aerys corrected. "Avalon is untouched gold."
"Just a hello." Tywin corrected him. But as he crossed the room, Avalon's violet eyes took him aback. He was never one to smile, everyone knew it. He was a serious man but he found himself smiling back at Avalon as he closer. To say that Avalon fell in love at first sight would be an understatement. Tywin was tall and strong and he made her heart skip a beat. She was sure of it. He took her hand in his and place a kiss on the top of her hand his eyes locked onto hers as he looked up lips still on her.
"Lord Tywin, or should I say Lord Hand." Avalon remarked as he kissed her hand.
"Princess, it is truly wonderful to see you again." Tywin remarked.
"You as well." Avalon agreed.
"What the literal fuck?" Aerys rasped staring back at them.
"What my love?" Rhaella questioned. My love, what a joke that statement was. Aerys was a pain in the ass. "Oh Avalon is home." she declared. "Wow, I havent seen Tywin smile like that in ages." She added.
"It's just Avalon." Aerys snorted out.
"Just Avalon." Rhaella mused. "She is a princess, unwed and in her prime."
"Wed her to Rhaegar." Aerys hissed.
"No." Rhaella corrected. "I have other plans for Rhaegar."
Avalon's heart fluttered in her chest the way Tywin looked at her like she was the sun the moon and the stars wrapped in a beautiful little Targaryen.
"Tywin, its so nice to see you again." Avalon said softly
Last time tywin had seen Princess Avalon Targaryen, she had pig tails and was always spinning around dancing. He remembered her having the biggest of smiles. The pig tails gone her hair in small waves of silver. Still the most beautiful smile.
"Avalon," he said softly as he let go of her hand. "My... How beautiful you are." Tywin said and a blush pulled at her cheeks. "You leave me speechless," tywin told her and it only made Avalon blush harder.
"Walk with me." Tywin requested offering her his arm. Avalon nodded eagerly. "Do you still like to dance?"
"Goodness that was forever ago." Avalon remarked bringing a hand to cover her embarrassment. "But yes". She confirmed "although im a much better dancer i assure you."
"Well then I cant wait to dance with you." Tywin told her.
"I would like that very much." Avalon agreed.
Avalon had been traveling westeros with her nephew Rhaegar, he was almost ten years younger than herself. Aerys hoped they would connect but Avalon, although she adored Rhaegar she didn't love him like that. He was a child still, a handsome little boy but she didnt want a child she wanted a man.
Didn't get that flutter that she got so easily with Tywin. And that in itself terrified her. Tywin was a married man, he seemed a man of honor but seeing him across the crowded room she suddenly forgot everything else. Seeing him today all her worries faded about finding a match. If she could feel like this with a man she barely knew when she found her true love there would be a spark and it would feel like this and hopefully he wouldnt be wed.
At 19 she was a late bleeder and all unions, even to a princess were postponed because every man in westeros wanted an heir.
Tywin was older, 26 years old and married. Had a set of twins with a woman he once loved. When he heard of his fathers plans for himself to be matched with avalon he was confused. Avalon was a child but then he was matched with Joanna and they were happy. Tytos became a laughing stock of house Lannister and Tywin rebuilt the house to be something he and his children could be proud of.
But looking at Avalon now he wished he would have waited because she was perfection. Wished Jaehaerys would have agreed because the distance of the capital put a strain on Tywin and Joanna, one they couldnt seem to come back from. They tried but everyone knew it was Tywin that ruled, not Aerys.
Joanna was pregnant and Tywin was going to resign, going to try and be there, for his wife and his family. But the kingdoms would fall and Tywin didnt want that.
"Are you staying at the capital long, Avalon?"
"Yes. I'm home for good." Avalon agreed. "We will be neighbors."
