Without realising it this became a routine for them. Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre would walk Astoria to pretty much all her classes and they would exchange small talks and jokes. Occasionally Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre would take Astorias books and Astoria would jump through hoops just to get yn to smile. Sometimes pansy or Theodore would join them but Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre got the feeling Pansy didn't like her and was only there for Astoria. Once Astoria and Pansy were heatedly whisper arguing but ceased as soon as they saw Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre.

"What were you talking about?"
"oh um nothing" Astoria replied.

Eventually others noticed Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre walking Astoria to all her classes and some of the boys started to comment.

"oh look Astoria its your boyfriend" one said as yn took astorias books.

Astoria flipped him off and they kept walking.

Before long they were the best of friends, having sleepovers, braiding each others hair, painting their nails and gossiping.

Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre loved having female friends, something she had lacked growing up and now felt she couldnt live without, and Theodore brought balance to their group. She felt safe with Pansy, Astoria and even Theodore, the only con being that Draco completely avoided her now, despite the fact she was with his friends.

Eventually Ron had to comment when one night she came into the commonroom alone.
"Why dont you hang out with us anymore yn, you are always with Astoria and your new little friend group, walking her to class and acting like we dont exist anymore" he ranted "and dont get me started on pansy and Theodore, they're horrible" he continued.

Harry entered the conversation
"Ron, she can do what she wants, but we do miss you Elsie"

Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre didn't know what to do so she just went to bed. She fell asleep not dreaming of dracos peircing blue orbs but of the new adventures they could have together, draco and her new friends. She was the centre of their group, just how she liked it.

Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre walked through the corridors searching for Astoria, she found only Pansy.
"Wheres Astoria?"
"Oh i thought she would have told you, you two are thick as thieves" Pansy said bitterly
"shes sick" Pansy said slowly relishing everybit of knowing something about Astoria that Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre did not.
"ohh..ok" Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre said quietly not sure what to do with herself now that Astoria wasnt there.

She made her way down the corridor quickly looking at the floor lost in her thoughts when, for the second time in an embarrassingly short time-frame, she bumped into Draco.

"oh um sorry Draco...i'll just.." Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre said as she tried to make her way round his broad chest, smelling the axe body spray she now associated with him.

He reached his arm out and touched the corridor effectively stopping her. She froze and he moved infront of her blocking her off from the rest of the corridor.

"Why have you been ignoring me?" he said in a deep throaty voice that made her cheeks redden.
"Why have I been ignoring you, ive hardly seen you" Elsie Ebony Midnight Raven Liddre said thinking back and now seeing flashes of his white blonde hair in the memories she had of walking with Astoria.

He hadnt been avoiding her, she had just been too focused on her friends. She felt terrible for her tunnel vision and all she wanted to do was make it up to Draco.

Then she remembered how he had laughed when she was imperiod and realised she had a way out of this.
"You laughed" she said sullenly
"i was imperiod and publicly humiliated and you laughed" she angrily added "So thats why ive been ignoring you" she pouted.
He met eyes with her and time slowed.

She relaxed slightly before becoming more annoyed at her reaction to this. she reached out and tried to slap him.

But

he was faster.
He put his hand on her forehead and held her at arms length.
She tried to hit him before realised what had happened.

A small group had surrounded them and she felt more embarrassed than before. She wasnt angry, she was sad and all she wanted was to hug her best friend. but she couldnt. She relaxed against him, surrendering and he took her in his arms, hugging her.

She heard faint mutterings:
"aww arent they cute"
"they would be so great together if they got over that feud"
She felt draco turn and by the scattering of the crowd she assumed he glared at them much like she had with Astoria.

She pulled herself away from draco and slowly wandered back to her dorm, too defeated, embarrassed and sad to even talk to harry and Ron. Too defeated, embarrassed and sad to think about how Draco had pinned her, yet again, and she enjoyed it.
