(Safe house, Stark's POV)

After a few hours of restless sleep, Barton landed the aircraft in the middle of a field, and there's only one house to be seen in the area.

"What is this?" Thor asks, carelessly swinging his hammer as he walks.

"Safe house? I dunno," I quickly step the the side and the thing comes dangerously close to my arm. "Hey you wanna be careful with that?"

He grunts in response, going off ahead to enter the house after Barton.

"Hi," Hawkeye calls into the house. "I've got company. Sorry I didn't call ahead."

A short, very pregnant woman comes waddling over to greet us.

"This is an agent of some kind," I mutter to Thor.

The only person who doesn't look confused is Romanoff.

"Gentleman, this is Laura."

Gentle footsteps get a little louder as two children come padding into the room.

"And these are..... Smaller agents?"

"Daddy!" The smaller one calls to Barton, who's response is to pick the child up with a beaming smile.

"Did you bring Auntie Nat?" Asks the young girl.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?" Romanoff grins as she comes out from where Banner and Thor were concealing her.

"Sorry for barging in on you like this," Rogers says.

"Yeah we would've called ahead, but we were too busy having no idea you existed."

Barton frowns a little at me, "Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off Shield's files and I'd like to keep it that way. I figured this would be a good place to lay low."

"Well we promise we'll be out of your hair as soon as we can," Rogers smiles apologetically.

Kiss ass.

Thor, seeming distant, turns and walks out of the house. It doesn't take long for Rogers to follow him.

Everyone seems to take that as their cue to go off and do their own thing.

Romanoff is playing with the small agents, Barton goes off with the other agent, Laura or whatever her name is, and Banner goes off on his own to some other area in the safe house.

Barton's home.

Nope. Too weird. The safe house.

And I just feel lost.
