She remembered running
Out into the street.
She'd seen him and
Her heart skipped a beat.

Billy was on patrol.
Rue felt an ache in her soul.
she yelled,
"Henry McCarty
How dare you miss my party!"
Billy turned away.
Not in the mood to play.
Tears ran down her face
She decided to give chase.
Soon she was at his side
Her feelings she refused to hide.
"Don't you dare run away.
I have something to say."

I don't know what the problem is
But right now, I'm quite busy."
"I will not be dismissed
Who do you think I am?"
She went to hit him
Billy grabbed her wrists.
She wanted to pound him
With her fists.
