Felix woke up to a pain in his head, a dry throat, and a very concerned Hyunjin less than an inch away from his face.

"Jesus!" Felix startled, jumping back slightly.

"Sorry, you were out for longer than expected so I was trying to see if you were okay. A sleeping vampire looks a lot like a dead one." Hyunjin replied, stepping back to give the boy some space.

It was then that Felix began to notice his surroundings - or rather, Hyunjin's. He was no longer in his house, but in one of Hyunjin's guest bedrooms.

"When did I get here?" The blond queried, sitting up from the bed slowly.

"When you passed out at your place I brought you here. Figured you'd be hungry when you woke up." Hyunjin's reply was cautious, almost as if he didn't want to remind the younger of his state.

"Right, thanks." Felix nodded, irritated that even after the amount of blood he had consumed to heal himself, he was still starving. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Almost four hours."

"What?!" Felix's eyes widened, mouth hanging slightly agape. He hadn't slept for that long since he was human.

"Yeah." Hyunjin's kind and cautious expression dropped to a serious one. "Lix, you need to hunt."

Felix felt something inside him twist. The idea of hunting now being placed in his brain meant he couldn't focus on anything else; he knew now more than ever he needed to feel the warm blood of a human on his tongue.

"But Chan-"

"Chan told me to make sure you kill someone." Hyunjin said honestly, though it could have very easily passed for a lie. Felix wouldn't have believed him if it weren't for the fact that the two friends were always truthful with one another no matter what.

Felix was flabbergasted for a moment - just this morning, the elder had made his stance on killing clear. Even if he were to let it slide, the fact he had now encouraged it was shocking, to say the least.

"Are you sure?" Was all Felix could say, uncertainty clouding his face. The familiar feeling of his morals battling his instincts settled in his chest, and it wasn't comfortable.

"Yeah. I told him I had to take you hunting, even if he disapproved, and he told me to make sure you kill someone. I was in shock." Hyunjin ended the sentence with a laugh, almost as if he was having trouble believing it himself.

"I wonder what changed his mind." Felix muttered.

"Probably the fact he watched you almost die today. He looked terrified." Hyunjin's eyes softened, reminiscing on the brunet's frozen frame when Hyunjin entered the apartment to tend to the blond.

Felix wanted to contest, feeling the need to verify with the elder face-to-face. However, the overwhelming urge to rip someone apart was stronger, and he felt himself finally giving in. His brain was clouding, telling himself he could deal with any issues that arose after he got what he needed. The longer he dwelled on it, the dryer his throat became, and the colder his body felt. He was like an empty shell, light as air, and his stomach was screaming at him to be filled.

"Okay, yeah, let's go." Felix muttered, eyes already drawing out a deep shade of red which blended into his normal brown.

It was dark outside, and already a few hours into the night. The town wasn't necessarily busy, but it wasn't quiet either. There were only a few cars, but there were a number of pedestrians out, some dressed as if they were going to a bar, and others looking like they had just finished a closing shift somewhere.
