School

Ringing
was the loud noise that filled my ears that morning. I turned to the left as I hit my clock turning it off as it let half a ring out before it turned off. As I rolled back to the right to close my eyes again as the darkness comforted me my clock turned back on. "UGH!" I said, as I grabbed one of many pillows on my bed and pulled it over my head. I turned back over to see what time it was, the clock read 7:25 I didn't think much of it until my head was flooded with remembrance of what time school started. It starts at 8:00 and it was now 7:26! My eyes widened. "SHOOT I FORGOT CHERRY WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK ME UP!" I whispered shouted to myself, I quickly jumped out of what was once a nicely made bed to a complete mess. I rushed into the bathroom as I took a shower but made sure to make it quick as I would remind myself what time I needed to leave. As I rapped a towel around myself I looked at myself in the foggy mirror in front of me. As I wiped the fog off I could see a blury reflection of me. I thought of school and became anxious would people like me? I thought, would I make friends other than Cherry? Would I sit alone at lunch? Would i remember were all my classes are or make a fool of myself? As thoughts came flooding my head i quickly shook away them. It's my first day I shouldn't be so harsh I mean everyone is the new kid at someone point in their lives and I'm sure they've made many mistakes and learned from them.

As I made my way to my closet being grateful that I had neatly hung my clothes and shoes without throwing them in there a couple days ago. Other wise I would've been swimming in clothes to pick out. I decided on a nice white t with a white skirt, a light pink jacket, with a pearl bracelet, brown heels, little stud diamond earrings, and shades that fit perfectly ontop of my head. As I got dressed I also decided to apply some light makeup. A little bit of blush, highlight, mascara, red lipstick, and eye shadow that was similar to my skin color but was also noticeable.

As I rushed downstairs I grabbed my book bag that was placed on top of a chair in the living room and wrapped it over my shoulder. "Morning Sweetheart." My mom greeted, from the kitchen as she placed plates of Eggs, Bacon, and glasses or orange juice, on the table. "Morning Ma!" I said, as I made my way inside the kitchen and sat next to dad. "Morning dad!" I said, as I stuffed my face with bacon. "Hi honey" "Woah there! your plates not going anywhere, what are you in the rush for?" Dad said, astonished "First day of school and Cherry said she'd be picking me up and I totally forgot!" I said, as I drank what was once a full glass of orange juice but was now half. "I see" Dad said, as his eyes darted back to his newspaper. "Well you've still got some time dear, right? School doesn't start till eight." Mom questioned,"Yeah but the ride to school also takes up time too." I read the clock hanging above her as it read 7:45. I nearly choked on my food. I then heard a loud horn outside. "I gotta go now I love you guys!"

I said as I kissed my mom and dad on the cheek goodbye. "Bye Y/N we love you todays gonna be a great day!" Mom called out, as I made my way out the door. I hope she was right, I saw a dark blue mustang make its way right in front of my house and boy did it look tuff. I watched as the window rolled down and Cherrys red curls peeked out along with her. "Hey Y/N, hop in!" She said, as she motioned to me to get in. I noticed in the seat next Cherry was a boy with blonde curls and rings covering his fingers as he impatiently tapped the steering wheel. As I made my way to the back of the car I noticed a boy with brown curly hair and a girl with black short hair in the back. I opened the door and removed my Satchel and placed it under my feet. "I thought we were walking?" "So did I but change of plans." responded cherry, as she looked at the boy next to her. "This is Bob, my boyfriend." I suddenly remembered last night when Cherry had told me about Bob. "And those two back there are Randy and Marcia." She said, as she pointed at them both. "It's lovely to meet you two, I'm Y/N!" I said, as I shook their hands Bob began to drive.

"It's nice to meet you too Y/N, Cherry has told me lots about you!" Marcia said, with a bright smile. I smiled, " I looked in the mirror, "It's nice to meet you too Bob." I said, with a small sincere smile. Bob looked into the mirror at me and nodded and smiled. "Oh I just know we're gonna be great friends Y/N! I mean of course if you would like for us too." "I'd love that!" I said, the thought of making another friend in just the next day brought me even more joy. Maybe school wouldn't be as bad as I thought it would be. The rest of the drive to school was Bob and Cherry talking to eachother about making plans on Saturday, Marica and I giggling from stories she had told me about from school, and Randy almost falling asleep. As we pulled up to the school I didn't realize how big it was,
