You decide to stay in the car.
Rain taps on the window glass, trickling down the side of the car. You're nice and dry inside, however, and it isn't long before Karen comes back into the car.
She isn't sure what that thump was, but you didn't run over anything, and you soon continue on your way home.
You reach your house within a few minutes. You get out of the car, thanking Mike's mom, and walking up to your house.
Karen drives off, and you stand under your porch for a while.
You hear a rustling coming from the bushes of your house.
You try to convince yourself it's a rabbit, but something's telling you it's not. You feel around for your flashlight in your backpack, wondering if you should investigate, or just go inside.
