𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟯 - 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝

The next morning, you wake up as normal, trying to forget everything that happened last night.

You slip on your headphones and walk to school. Today will be different than yesterday. 

𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦. . .

Fall is definitely starting to set in, and you can see leaves falling from the trees. It's almost peaceful. 

Eventually, you reach school. Spotting the Party, you walk up to them, taking your headphones off of your ears and setting them carefully around your neck.

"Where's Will?" you wonder. He isn't with the rest of the Party. 

"I don't see him," Mike says. "Weird." 

"He's probably gone to class early. Always paranoid Mr. Gursky's going to give him another pop quiz," Dustin says. 

"You're probably right," you nod. 

Mike shrugs. 

𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦. . .

A hoot coming from behind you makes you all turn around. It's Troy and his friends. 

"Step right up and get your tickets for the freak show! Who do you think would make more money at a freak show, Frogface, Midnight, or Toothless?" 

"Tough call," his friend says. "I think I go with Toothless," he decides, faking a lisp. 

"My teeth are coming in, I've told you a million times; it's called cleidocranial dysplasia," Dustin scowls. 

"Do the arm thing." 

You glare at them. "Stop it. What's your problem?" 

𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬. . .

Dustin shakes his head at you. "Don't provoke them." 

"Do it, freak!" Troy says again. 

With a sigh, Dustin stretches his arms around his body. 

The bullies look disgusted. "Gets me every time!" Troy says, laughing. 

They push past you into the school.

"Numbskulls," Lucas mutters. 

"Mouth breathers," you say. 

"I think it's kind of cool, a superpower, like Mr. Fantastic," Mike says to Dustin. 

"Yeah, except I can't fight evil with it," Dustin rolls his eyes. 

𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦. . .

You and the Party trudge into school. 

You're still wondering where Will is, though.

Science class. The bell rings. 

You and the Party congregate around Mr. Clarke's desk.
