Chapter 14: The Forced Bonds of a False Family

After defeating the Mother Spider, Nezuko returned to Tanjiro and Inosuke with her brother trying to bandage their friend. "Will you stop it Monjiro?!" Inosuke yelled. "My name is Tanjiro!" Tanjiro replied. "And I'm trying to bandage your wounds so that you won't lose any more blood!" "Seems like you guys are having a good time." They both turn around to see Nezuko. "Nezuko!" "Did you beat her?!" "Yeah, but it looked like she was begging for death."

"Are you alright Nezuko?" Tanjiro asked. "There's a Twelve Kizuki on this mountain." she replied. Hearing that made Tanjiro's skin craw while Inosuke was feeling excited. "Where is it?! Where is that Kizuki demon?!" Soon they hear lightning from the other side of the mountain. "Was that lightning?!" Tanjiro wondered. "But I don't see any clouds unless..." "It's Zenitsu!" Nezuko replied. "Did he really steal that Kizuki demon?!" Inosuke yelled. "I'm gonna find him and beat him up for that!" 

As they were arguing, another spider demon appeared. It took the appearance of a girl that looked their age. "You. I'll chop you up good demon!" Inosuke ran after the demon with Tanjiro and Nezuko lagging behind him. "Inosuke wait a minute!" "Father!!" The three were ambushed by another spider demon that was three times their size and had the face of a spider. The Spider Daughter used this opportunity to escape. "STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!!"

Tanjiro and Nezuko simultaneously strike at the Spider Father, but it blocked using its arms. The sibling leap away to avoid any fatal blows. 'I'm just starting as a demon slayer. If my strikes aren't strong enough to cut through its skin, then how can we possibly beat a Twelve Kizuki?' "DON'T TOUCH MY FAMILY!!!"

Inosuke attacked from behind, but the spider father knocked him away.  Nezuko had to help her friend and thought of an idea.

Water Breathing: 2nd Form Improvised

Nezuko slashed at the tree making it fall on top of the Spider Father pinning him down. Tanjiro attempt to cut his head using the Fire Wheel technique, but the Spider Father gets free and uses the tree to block his attack. He is then hurled into the air away from the fight. "Tanjiro!"

"Nezuko, Inosuke, that demon has to be one of the Twelve Kizuki! Until I return, under any circumstance, DON'T DIE!!" Tanjiro warned them to survive as they disappear from his sight.

Tanjiro used the technique to soften the landing the best he could. Suddenly he heard screams of pain, and he was surprised to see the demon they encountered earlier, getting her face slashed by Rui, the boy the met before who was using webs. "What? You think this is dinner and a show?" "What are you doing to her?! Aren't you two allies?!" "Allies? Don't say such small words. We are family. Bounded together by such strong bonds. Why does this matter to you? This is between me and my sister. If you're going to meddle in family affairs, I'll just have to slice you up."

"Family and allies. They are both bound by the strongest bonds. They are both equally valuable! It's never shallow even if it's not blood connected." Tanjiro remembers his younger siblings being born and all the fun times they have together. "People who are tied together by strong bonds have the scent of trust. I felt it a hundred times before and they were true. But as for you, the only I smell off you, is fear, hatred, and disgust. I refuse to call this a bond! If anything, it's a FAKE FAMILY!!"

The daughter felt shocked hearing Tanjiro's words, while Rui stood there with no reaction. Just then another slayer appeared from bushes. "Yes. Perfect timing finding two small fry demons! These two are going to be good to kill. I don't know who you are, but you can pull back. I'm getting promoted on my own and then I'll be able to get enough money to provide myself with a home!" The new slayer ran at the demons, but he was sliced by a spider web that was hard as threat killing him instantly. "Take it back." Rui demanded. "Take back what you said right now." He was giving off an immense aura. "I won't! Your bond is fake beyond the shadow of a doubt!"

Inosuke was having trouble dealing with this tough opponent. Even its arms were tough. Nezuko had tried to go for its head but was tossed away to Tanjiro's direction. He was all alone. Which means he has to run away. But then, his pride stopped him. "Damn it!! Tontaro, your smart germs are infecting me!!" Inosuke cut down onto its hand and use his second blade pushing down on the hand cutting it off. "I GUESS USING MY HEAD REALLY PAYS OFF! IF I CAN'T USE ONE BLADE, I'LL JUST HAVE TO USE BOTH OF MY BLADE HARDER TO CUT YOU!!" The Father decided to turn tail and run away deep into the forest with Inosuke taking chase. He lost sight of the enemy. As he uses Spatial Awareness, he spots him on top of a tree. "There you are!!" The Father Spider begins to shake uncontrollably. "Are you that afraid of me you shake out of fear?!" Inosuke then realizes that the Father Spider is really shedding its skin revealing its new and intimidating body. 'It's too big. Can I even kill this thing?' 

He then remembered Tanjiro's words to not die as well as the Wisteria House keeper's words to live your life with great pride. "I'm Inosuke Hashibira of the Demon Slayer Corps! Come fight me you piece of shit!" He bravely fights the Father Spider getting slammed into many trees. The monster arachnid tries to kill the boar headed slayer, but Inosuke leaps over him and goes in to cut its head.

Beast Breathing: 3rd Fang,

Devour

Inosuke slashes at the neck, only for the blades to break in half. He couldn't believe it. He was focused his shattered blades that he didn't notice the Spider Demon sending him flying. It then grabbed him by the head "Don't come near my FAMILY!" It started to crush Inosuke's head.

Beast Breathing: 1st Fang,

Pierce

Inosuke tried desperately to cut the neck, but to no avail. His life began to flash before his very eyes. He sees his friends, Hisa, and suddenly sees a woman. 'Inosuke, I'm very sorry.' She then drops a child off a cliff. His mask starts spewing blood. But then, the demon's arm his chopped off. Inosuke's savior is revealed to be Giyu. The Spider Father rushed at the Water Hashira.

Water Breathing: 11th Form,

Dead Calm

Giyu enters a state where he become aware of all incoming attacks cancelling them out and taking the Spider Father by surprise cutting its head off. Inosuke was completely amazed by his skill and power. "Fight me Mismatched Haori! You easily killed off one the Twelve Kizuki and that makes me want to fight you! And if I beat you, I'll be one of the strongest Demon Slayers ever!"

"You should go back to training." Giyu replied making Inosuke mad. "That was not a Twelve Kizuki. You couldn't even tell the difference?!"

"Of course, I know the difference! Tanjiro said that he was one of them." Giyu's eyes widened hearing that name. "Did you say Tanjiro?" "Yeah! I'm telling you what he told me..." He stopped speaking to find himself hanging from a tree branch tied up as Giyu paces away. Inosuke couldn't believe he let his guard down allowing himself to get restrained. "Hey get back here! Why are you running away huh?!"

"If you are unaware of the state your body's in, you shouldn't be fighting."

"Huh?! I can't hear you! Your voice is too soft and walking too fast!! I said get back here!! Untie these ropes right now!!! GET ME DOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWNNNNN!!!!!!"
