Chapter 19: Rehabilitation Drama

The Butterfly Estate was more than a home for the Insect Hashira, it was also a special medical home for the critically injured. Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado received many cuts and bruises across their bodies. Zenitsu's arms and legs were shrunken from the spider bite. And Inosuke had vocal damage and was going through depression. But as Inosuke was resting in the normal rooms, Zenitsu was in his own personal room, while Tanjiro and Nezuko were living next door at the Sun Mansion where their family was staying for two whole years.

It was the following morning, and the Kamado Family were having breakfast. "So, this is where you all were staying when Mr. Tomioka escorted you?" Tanjiro asked. "Yes." Kie replied. "And as we begin to live here, we feel to show our gratitude by helping the recovering swordsman."

Takeo was the first to speak on how he pitched in. "I'd mostly help Ms. Kanzaki with most of the chores around the Estate. She may look mean, but it's to show how much she cares about everyone."

"Shigeru and I help to warm up their hot spring!" Hanako said.

"There's a hot spring?" Tanjiro asked.

"Yeah!" Shigeru answered. "It's for people who are completely stabilized to feel relaxed before heading back out."

"And little Rokuta helps by bringing food to the patients." Kie said. "Isn't that, right?" Their youngest sibling nodded blushing a little.  "I think you two should go find your friends. Ms. Kocho has something planned for you two."

"Of course, Mother." Tanjiro and Nezuko said as got up and left for the Butterfly Estate. They go down the hall to the room where Inosuke was to find that Zenitsu was also visiting him. "Sorry for being weak Monitsu." Inosuke said. "You're not weak Inosuke." Zenitsu replied. "Your mind is just thinking that."

When the two hear their friends talking, they try to help their boar friend get his spirit back up. Eventually, Murata meets them again thanking them for rescuing him and Ozaki. Murata explains that he was present at the Hashira Meeting to deliver his report of the Mt. Natagumo incident. He also claims that the Hashira are terrifying, as Shinobu enters the room frightening Murata. "Oh! Good morning, Lady Kocho!! I was just about to leave!! Bye now!!" Murata rushed out of the room. "Oh my! Leaving so soon?" Shinobu asked happily. She then turns to the four patients. "So how are your bodies doing?"

"Slowly getting better." Nezuko answered.

"I'm glad to hear that. Because now you are ready for the Rehabilitaion training."

Over the next two weeks, Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Inosuke participate in the training, while Zenitsu was bedridden still hoping for his limbs to grow back soon. He continues drinking his medicine as his arms and legs slowly grow back to normal. And every day for the past two weeks he would see a tired Tanjiro and Nezuko walk by his room. Then the siblings look back to see Kanao going into Zenitsu's room hugging him. This made them both emotionally upset.

The next day, Zenitsu was ready to participate in the Rehabilitation training. "Since Zenitsu's now here I will explain the training regimen so he can understand. " Kanzaki explained. "First, you'll be stretched out to help your body from lying in bed for two straight weeks. Next is the reflex training. Each of the cups are filled with medicated liquid. The objective is to splash your opponent before they can splash you. But you are allowed to block the opponent's cup. And lastly is body training. Or in specific terms tag." She then turns to Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Inosuke. "So that's the training. And your opponents will be Zenitsu, Kanao, and myself Aoi. Any questions?"

Inosuke raised his hand. "How come Monitsu is part of the training instead of joining us?"

"His name is Zenitsu. And he's already been able to complete this training before. So, I don't see why we should let our brother go through something he already mastered."
