Chapter 11: The Feral Demon Slayer

Kyogai the Tsuzumi Mansion Demon is now defeated allowing Tanjiro and Nezuko to explore and locate Kyoshi and Teruko without having to worry about any chaos. They keep calling their names as they open doors. "Kyoshi!! Teruko!!" As they open the door, random stuff is thrown their way. 

"Can you please stop throwing things at us?!" Tanjiro shouted.

"We're sorry." Kyoshi replied. "We panicked because the drum disappeared, so we were feeling desperate."

"Don't worry. The demon is gone and can't hurt you anymore. Let's get you out of here." Tanjiro piggybacks Kyoshi as they walk to the exit. "So are you positive that Zenitsu and Shoichi are outside." Nezuko asked. 

"I can feel their scent, so yes, I'm sure." Then suddenly, Tanjiro smelled blood. They ran to the exit and were shocked to see what was happening.

(Earlier)

After getting separated from Nezuko, Zenitsu and Shoichi wandered through the mansion looking for the exit. "Guess I'm going to have to stay outside with you until my friends come back out with your siblings."

"Zenitsu, do you feel afraid?" 

"I am afraid, but not of the demons, but of failing to protect those close to me." As they keep walking, Shoichi begins to notice it. "Is it just me, or have we been going in circles?" Before Zenitsu could answer, the hallway flips forward, causing the two to fall down bursting through a window leading outside. Zenitsu then uses himself to shield Shoichi from hitting the ground knocking the blond slayer out.

After a few minutes, Zenitsu began to wake up slowly getting back up. "Grrr. What happened?" 

He turned to see Shoichi crying. "Ahh! Zenitsu! We were launched out of house as the hallway changed. We fell out from the second story window." 

"Really?" 

"Yeah! You were very powerful."

"I guess all my training paid off." As he scratches his head, he hears a loud noise speeding through the door.

"Pig Assault! Pig Assault!" It was the masked demon slayer. Shoichi still scared of him went behind Zenitsu. "Wait. I've seen him before. He's the seventh survivor of final selection. He was the first to enter and leave the mountain. I don't even know how he was able to get two Nirichin blade without choosing an ore" 

The masked slayer sees Zenitsu and was able to sense how powerful he is, so he rushes at him with the intention to fight, but Zenitsu quickly move away with Shoichi. "What's wrong?! Afraid to fight me?!" 

"No. I'm just not in the mood to fight you." "Like I said, afraid!" "Everyone has a unique sound. It shows their true emotions, whether they are demon or human. I've felt deception in many hearts when I was a small child. But when I first met Tanjiro and Nezuko, their hearts were truly pure I wanted to cry. And hearing yours, it feels like an arrogant animal who just want to fight."

But the masked slayer refused to listen. "Don't give me that crap! You're just a coward that's afraid to draw his own sword!" And then without thinking, he launched towards Shoichi forcing Zenitsu to push the slayer on the ground. "What the hell are you doing?!" Zenitsu yells angrily. "Giving you a reason to fight me!" He then gets back on his feet running to the young kid, but Zenitsu swiftly moved to shield him. "Don't be a coward! draw your sword and face me!" The masked slayer proceeded to kick him and hit him using the butt of his swords. "We're both demon slayers, which means you need to fight!" Zenitsu continued to take the beating, as Tanjiro's group exits the house seeing what's happening. "Tanjiro. Nezuko. You guys made it out. I guess that means you defeated the demon controlling the house and found the older brother."
