Fight to the Death Part 3

A heavy part of the city that Muzan Kibutsuji resided in was destroyed. Part of it was shattered by Doma's ice attack and another part was torn through as if four people were fighting with their lives on the line. And in the middle of it all, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke stood firm in front of Akaza the final Upper Rank all while taking injures that brought them to the brink of death. Behind them are Kanao, Nezuko, and Genya who are still tired from the battle against Doma. The three swordsmen continue to catch their breath as Akaza stood there staring at them with a disappointed look. 

'Tanjiro.'

'Zenitsu.'

'Inosuke.'

"Now, do you understand the difference in our strengths?" Akaza questions. "No matter what abilities you unlock, no matter how many times you strike me, victory is only an illusion. Those slashes and strikes you inflicted on me are gone." The open wounds on Akaza close up instantly. "You all on the other hand... Tanjiro has a smashed right eye. Zenitsu, fractured ribs interfering with his breathing. And Inosuke, organs destroyed. All are beyond repair. If you were demons like me, they would be nothing but scratches. will regenerate in the blink of an eye. This is proof... that human can never overcome a demon." 

Kanao struggles to even move as she wants to intervene. 'I don't want this! I really want to help. But my body's too stiff from the fight with Doma. All of this... my wounds... my strength... and the Equinoctial Vermillion Eye took a heavy toll on me. Please, anyone. Don't take them away from us.'

'We tried everything.' Tanjiro thought. 'But somehow, we can't defeat him. Is there nothing we can use against him?' In that moment, Tanjiro sees Yoriichi's soul standing in front of him. 'Yoriichi? How?' Yoriichi says nothing but then Tanjiro began to receive information that he never thought was possible. It was the same somehow for Zenitsu and Inosuke and then all three of them stopped catching their breaths. And then, taking them all by surprise, the three demon slayers were engulfed by visible auras. Tanjiro with the sun, Zenitsu with thunder, and Inosuke with various beasts.

"So, this how it is then, huh?" Akaza concluded.

"We... we shall ensure our battle is finished!" Zenitsu roared. "Even at the cost of our lives, you won't take any more lives!" 'We must damage him as much as we can before he can recover. We have to be in sync for this to work.'

And in an instant, all three of them grew even more stronger as their marks turned crimson red. The shockwave of power hits Akaza causing his body to tremble. "Ooh! What applauding fighting spirits! To push on despite such bodingly injuries! Those mental strength of minds! The mark burning into your skins! And those thunderclap stances!" His body continued to tremble, but it was from excitement. "Ngh-he-he-he-he-ha! Now you have to become demons! Just imagine it! We would all be able to battle each other for the rest of eternity!!"

"Set your hear ablaze."

"Always believe in yourself."

"Never give up."

"As long as we hold the dreams of those who have passed, we'll secure a future without demons!" Tanjiro roared out. "So, this will be the night we defeat Muzan Kibutsuji!"
