Sobahle
"You are packing all your stuff. Aren't you coming back or are you thinking running away?" Bukhosi says, entering the closet.
"Of course I'm coming back, but my mom instructed me to pack all my stuff."
I say, shrugging
"Ok, I see."
He says, looking around the empty walk-in closet.
"Can you close this suitcase for me."
I say, pointing to it, and he walks to it."MaZungu, just know I'm coming to get you, noma abazali bakho banga vumi."
Bukhosi does not realize that the little things he says randomly make me fall in love with him more, and I know our situationship is like an arranged Mirrage to him.
"Thank you."
I say, pulling the last bag up, the closet is empty, and all my things are inside this bag.
"Come, let's go and eat so that you can rest enough for your trip."
He says, taking my hand and leading me out of my room."Your hair looks so nice, umuhle."
Bukhosi compliments my low back bun hair style.
"Thank you."
I say and look outside the window as the car stops at the airport.
"A driver will be waiting for you as soon as you land in Mpumalanga, he will drive you and your many suitcases home."
He says, and I laugh at his statement, I feel so sad, and I don't want to leave."Ok, bye."
I take my seat belt off and attempt to open the door, and he hovers over me and closes it fast.
" Uhambe kahle mama, you know that we can't be seen together in public yet, so I can't accompany you into the airport."
he says with a deep, low voice while he is still hovering over me.
"Yes, I understand, thank you."
he nods still in the same position. bandla, can this man move before I kiss him."Woza la."
he pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead twice like he is reassuring me of something, he holds me for a few minutes and I feel so emotional right now, don't cry Sobahle Zungu phela wena uyi ghost I say to myself .
"Bye MaZungu."
"Bye, Bukhosi."
I wave and follow behind his two guards who are pulling my luggage bags into the airport.Mpumalanga here I come, I'll be coming back here as someones wife and a royal family member, not Sobahle Zungu or a surrogate mother, hayi Sobahle use nkingeni ngampela I sigh as the plane take off.
Mbombela is a very busy city with exporting and importing trucks from all over South Africa to different neighboring countries, the streets are busy as always but my heart and mind are still in KZN the same province that I left that stern and strict Bukhosibomvelo in.
"Ms, we are here."
Mr David says, disturbing me from my thoughts
"Thank you."
I respond, getting out of the car, and he does the same and opens the back of the car to take out my bags.
"Sobahle unjani sisi."
Make says, already engulfing me into a hug as soon as I enter the house, and I let them fall.
"Phephisa sisi."
she says, patting my back.
"Mama ngiya mthandza and I fear telling him." I confess shamelessly to my mom, who already knows about the situationship.
"Shh, sisi, it's going to be fine."
my mom assures me, she was very happy when I told her about the situationship and she said things will fall into place as the time goes."Sawubona Baba."
I greet my father, who arrived while I was bathing.
"Ntombi ka baba unjani"
I'm fine, Baba and how are you?"
"I'm also fine, MaZungu. A letter from the Zulu family arrived a few days ago, Sobahle uyazi bani Ebukhosini?"
My father questions looking serious.
"Baba I..I know UBukhosibomvelo Zulu, the kings second born son."
"And how do you know him ngoba the last time I checked you two were talking about lezinto zenu ze surrogacy, when did you guys start dating."
"He asked me to marry him, and I said yes, baba, because I love him."
I confess to my father while looking down.
"Zungu let the child eat and then nap she will talk to you later on or tomorrow."
Ma says, already serving us food
"Hla Sisi." she pulls out a chair for me to sit."Hello,"
did the person calling right now check what time it is.
"Hi Sobahle," Bukhosi's voice booms behind the speaker, and I sit up straight, not feeling sleepy anymore.
"MaZungu, why didn't you call or text to tell me you arrived safe?"
"I'm sorry I fell asleep and forgot to call you."
"Kulungile, I understand that you were tired, so what did your parents say about the whole thing?"
"My mother understands, and with my dad, I'm not sure."
"Your dad will come around, don't worry, ok?"
"Yeah, I guess you are right."
