"You disappointed me bafo, you could  have handled the situation much better."
Zwelethu, who is Senamile's husband and my best friend, says as we are sitting in a restaurant having lunch.

"Bafo Sobahle ruined this whole thing by snooping around about the Ntombi issue and falling for me."
"Ok I get that she broke the terms of your mirrage by falling in love with you, but you can't blame her for this whole Ntombi thing your cousin, my very own wife is the one that told Sobahle about Ntombi so you can't blame her."

"But she continued to enquire more about her, even though she was told that the Ntombi issue is a very sensitive topic to me."

"Bafo, you know you are wrong, You do love Sobahle, and you think she will do the same thing that Ntombi did. Mvelo, don't lose a good woman because you are still feeling guilty about your dead fiancées deaths."

"I don't do love Zwe, and you know that, more than anyone."
"Mxm keep lying to yourself, Mr I don't do love."
He says, mimicking my voice.

I leave the restaurant to my parents' house even though I know they are in Kwanongona Palace, uMa said preparations to celebrate their 15-year anniversary as the ruling monarchy are underway.

"Bafo."
I greet Melokuhle, who is watching anime as always, He stands up, and we do our brotherly handshake.

"Bafoza unjani ?" He asks, staring at me.
"I'm fine wena unjani ?"
He chuckles and sits down, and I join him.

"I'm good bafo but, Bukhosibomvelo you don't look fine to me."
I sigh, feeling a little bit overwhelmed, but I hold myself from showing any emotions.

"Kuhle Sobahle and I are divorcing."

"I already know that, Bhuti do you still remember that told you to stay away from Sobahle if you are going to hurt her, you broke her bafo she is so pale and not her bubbly self anymore."
It's funny how what he is saying is the truth, Melokuhle is very overprotective and caring for Sobahle that I even sometimes hated their closeness but I know he just cares about her out of a good place.

"But she knew what she was getting herself into when she agreed to get married to me, and she ruined things by trying to invade my personal life." I snap
"Oh, get over yourself bhuti, you weren't really expecting Sobahle to not catch feelings at some point, and wena you should blame yourself for still holding onto memories of your dead fiancée !" He fires back.

"I don't want any blood on my hands, Ntombi committed suicide because she was being crucified for being with me."

"Hai never compare Sobahle to uNtombi, Sobahle is mentally stable that girl was obsessed about becoming a Zulu that's why she couldn't handle being bashed."

"Don't you dare talk about uNtombi kanjalo wena !"
I say, charging at him, and we both stand up, Melokuhle does not even back down.

"Vele, the truth hurts, but you know I'm right even if you beat me, nothing will change."

"Melokuhle fuck off uyezwa? futhi usayi ngane mfana wami don't talk nonsense about things you don't know."
I say through gritted teeth.

"Kodwa you know I'm telling the truth bhuti'wam."

"Get away from me before, I lose control."
I say trying to remain calm and he stares at me before going out the house.

Sobahle

I have been feeling very light headed lately, so I decided to go and see a doctor, as I'm about to walk out typical Melokuhle walks in.

"Muhleza how are you ?"
He says engulfing me in a hug.
"I'm fine kuhle, and how are you ?"
He looks at me like he does not believe me.

"Ngi grand, nx that bully of yours nearly killed  me."
He says already washing his hands and maneuvering the fridge, he finds a container of meat and takes out a piece.
"Oh ngampela, you do know that me and that bully are divorcing so he is not mine."

"Yazi ubhuti thinks everyone fears him and I don't fear him."
I laugh because Melokuhle fears Bukhosi more than anyone.
"Wena na." I say clapping my hands.
"Vele angimusabi hawu."
He says chewing onto his piece of meat.

"Kuhle I'm going out you can remain behind but please don't burn down the house, you can make food for yourself because Uma is not around."
"I will go with you, because I came to check on you."
"Ok let's go."
We leave the house and drive to the doctor's when get to the doctor's practice, Melokuhle looks at me puzzled.
"Are you sick ?"
He asks as we are walking to the consultation room.

"No, but I have been feeling very lightheaded lately."
I say as we get inside the consultation room, we find the doctor already there.

"Mrs Zulu, his royal highness welcome, I'm doctor Nxele."
The doctor says shaking both our hands.
"Thank you doc, uhm I will go and wait outside ok ?"
Melokuhle says patting my shoulder.
"No it's fine you can stay."
"Are you sure ?"
"Yes Melokuhle."

"Mrs Zulu what can I do for you today ?"
The doctor questions as soon as we sit down and I tell her the symptoms and she runs a few tests and clears me and now only one test awaits.
The pregnancy test she gives me a cup to pee in and I come back with it as we wait for the results.

"What do they say doctor ?"
I ask, feeling very nervous, praying and hoping that the pregnancy test is negative.
"Wait a bit Sobahle this things take awhile." Typical Melokuhle says, what does he know about pregnancy tests this one.

"Mrs Zulu congratulations you are pregnant." Thats the last thing I remember the doctor saying before I zoned out, we went to the pharmacy to get the prescribed medication  and now we are driving back home the whole ride is quite. I'm grateful that Melokuhle is giving me space to digest everything without trying to question me.

"What do you want to have for dinner ?"
Kuhle asks, I'm not even thinking about food right now.
"You can order anything."
"Ok, let me order for us."
I nod and we sit down in silence, I didn't know that Melokuhle can be quiet for such a long time. Our food arrives and he plates for the both of us.
"Melokuhle this is too much."
I say referring to the full plate of food.
"I don't want ingani ka bhuti'wam to go hungry while I'm still here."
I laugh at his arrogance and we eat in comfortable silence.

"Melokuhle please don't say anything to your brother or anyone about this as of yet."
He nods in an understanding manner.

"But you have to let him know at some point unless you are planning on running away and I'd advise you not do that because you won't like the ruthless side of uBhuti."
I don't think there is any side of Bukhosi I haven't seen already.

"I won't run away relax but I'm not ready to tell him or anyone about this pregnancy yet, so please keep it to yourself."
He nods.

"You are a good person and I know you will be a wonderful mom to my niece."
He says with a sweet smile, he has already decided on the gender.
"Thank you uncle Melokuhle, you are not so bad sometimes."
I tease him and he starts to behave like the typical Lolo he is.
