Sobahle

"Are you ok?" Bukhosi asks as the car comes into halt emacekeni a kubo.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
I lie bluntly, I feel very nervous we are about to meet his parents and get their approval for our situationship.
"Sobahle ngibheke, ngiyazi awukho right and there is nothing to be worried about my family is going to like you because you are an amazing person."
Bukhosi does not know that the few weeks I have stayed with him, emerged the feelings of love for him.

"What if they don't think I'm the right woman for you... I mean I'm not of royalty or wealthy like you, I'm just a regular thick gir..." he holds my face and forces, my teary face to look at him.

"Don't you ever say those things you said about yourself ok?" He says sternly.
"Sobahle Zungu, I chose you to mother my heiress for a reason, you are not regular never doubt yourself you are beautiful and kind hearted never doubt or limit yourself"
. I nod repeatedly as my tears fall and he hugs me tightly while kissing my forehead.

"Now stop crying mama your face looks so red and it is full of tears you even wiped  mucus on my jacket. phela uMa will think that I abuse because your face looks reddish."
he says smiling shortly while wiping my teary face and I laugh. Maybe I should cry more so that he can smile often.

"Mageba"
"Baba " Bukhosi  greets bab'Gumede

"Sawubona MaZungu o muhle" bab'Gumede welcomes us inside the mansion that we dropped Him and Melokuhle at, the first time I came here, this house is guarded more than Bukhosi's house apparently this is his parents city house that they permanently lived in before his father became the king and this is where he and his siblings grew up before they moved to  the Kwanongona Palace but his parents still live here occasionally because his father prefers this house than the palace because it is more peaceful and in a very private and well gated estate of Mt Edgecombe Greater Durban.

"Sawubona yeye, unjani?" I say as he stands with us on the entrance part of the the house, high ceiling walls and a  chandelier grace the entrance of the house.
"Ngiyaphila ndodakazi , ngabe wena unjani? " He questions while looking at Bukhosi then back to me
"Ngiyaphila nami baba" I say and he smiles while side nodding at Bukhosi who follows him, they stand a few feet away from me and whisper

"Sawubona  Hle, unjani ngane yami" The queen greets me with a hug.
" Sawubona ma ngiyaphila, ngabe uMa yena unjani?"
"Ngiyaphila nami sisi, ngithokozela ukuk bona"
"Ku thokoza mina Ma"
"Haibo Ma, won't you greet me?" Bukhosi says walking towards us with a mischievous smirk.

"Wena umenzeni uSobahle?" His mother asks while looking at him sternly
"Mama Sobahle cried because she felt nervous about meeting you and Ubayede I didn't do anything to her you can ask her"
"Is he telling the truth?" she asks looking straight into my eyes.
"Yebo Ma" I nod and say feeling shy
"Hlehle, don't worry Ubayede is going to love you phela wena.."

"Who am I going to love phela.. oh MaZungu unjani ndodakazi?" oh the king knows me, bandla do I curtsey or just greet him back phela this is his majesty the Zulu king people.
"Ngiyaphila Ndabezitha, ngabe wena unjani?" I say my heart beating abnormally
"Ngiphilile makoti ngilinde isizulu" he says and smiles at me
"Bukhosibomvelo"
"Baba" father and son say acknowledging one another with a handshake.
"I see you decided to bring my daughter-in-law to meet me" his father says looking at Me.
"Yebo Bayede"
"Muhle yena umakoti ndodana" his father says to him and they stare at each other and smile
"Baba awume nje" Bukhosi says chuckling
"Kodwa Bukhosi u..." Bukhosi hakes his head
"Baba awume habe" his father laughs and he joins in laugher.
"Behave you two" The queen scholds father and son.
"Mapholoba ngicela sikhulume, mkami" the king says already taking Ma's hand
"Hlehle go to the sitting room and rest your feet I'm coming right now ok?"
"Ok ma" they go down the passage.

"Come I want to show you something" Bukhosi says taking my hand leading me upstairs.
"This is my bedroom" he says showing me a beautiful bedroom
"Do you sleep here frequently?"
"Not really but sometimes when I come around I do take naps or just chill here"

"You were so cute on this photo, how old were you here?" I say pointing at a photo on the dressing table
"I was still in high school, So you think I'm cute mama?" he says and chuckles
"I said were not now"
"So I look ugly now"
"No you are now old and I can't say a man your age is cute"
"Ok, uMa and baba like you so much the way ma forgot about me when we got here yoh"
He says dramatically and I laugh at him.
" Yeah but, I still have to meet the rest of your family and the Zulu nation I wonder if they will also be welcoming?"
I sigh feeling nervous.
"They are going to be smitten by you and even if they aren't it doesn't matter, because I chose you for me"
He says hugging me for the second time and I melt like a marshmallow.

Bukhosi

"Bukhosi what were you doing with Sobahle behind closed doors?" Ma asks as soon as we enter the sitting room and my accomplice hides behind.
"Fuze, Sobahle is my wife to be so we do what couples do behind doors" I say and Sobahle gasps behind me.
"Mapholoba stay out of the children's bedroom business, I want a grandchild"

"Haibo Zulu!, Sobahle sit down and eat my child uyeke loyo satan ubizwa uBukhosibomvelo  no babawakhe ba sangane bodwa" Baba laughs annoying uMa who gives him an evil look my accomplice sits down leaving me standing alone.

"Ndodakazi kuyomele uye ekhaya uzo buya after umembeso" why I want ask but Mapholoba is already giving me a deadly glance so keep quiet and let Bayede talk.
"Yebo Baba" MaZungu responds respectfully.
"Awo ngani yami enhle, muhle umakoti wethu" Sobahle blushes shyly as Ma complements her.

"Sobahle unangaphi?"
"I'm 22 years and I'll be turning 23 on the 2nd of July."
"Bukhosi sit down wena" Ma says to me as she plates for herself.
