chapter 37

Elizas pov

Today Riles is picking me up as we ate going back to his to wrap up the presents.

Last night Tris and I were laying in my hammock 'Hey Tris' I said 'yes love' he replies, 'I need to get a thumb print off you.' I say 'sure' Tristan replies confused slightly. I had arranged to get 2 dog tags made which on the front had our thumb prints to make a heart with our and above our thumbs and on the back enscribed forever and always. The person who was doing this for me said they would be able to get it done for me before I go to training, so Riles and I are going to drop them off before we went to his to wrap the presents.

Back to today. Riles came and picked me up after breakfast, 'bye Tris' I say 'wait Els' I hear call from our bedroom. I watch as he came running he gave me a big hug 'I'll see you later' he says kissing my forehead, 'see you later, I'll pick up some bits for Monday' I tell him before kissing him on the lips. I watch as Tris waves to me as I walk down the path to Riles' car.  'Where to first?' Riles asks me 'the engravers as I need to drop something in. Then to yours to wrap the presents, I also need to get some bits in for Monday as James, Brad and Con are coming over as I wanted to record us performing some songs that I can watch on breaks from Training.' I say. 'That's okay.' Riles says.

When we arrive at the engravers I get out of the car. 'Hi we spoke on the phone about getting some dog tags engraved' I say to the gentleman. 'Hi lovely to meet you. Do you have the prints?' He ask 'yes I do' I say handing him the prints. 'I  can engrave the prints onto one dog tag and have a second with the wording on' he tells me. 'Yes that would be amazing. Thank you' I say 'I will ring you when they are ready. You can pay on collection' he tells me 'thank you for doing this for me' I say 'see you soon' I say before leaving the store.

'Eliza, I just got notified that the canvas is arriving today' Riles tells me when I get to the car. We begin to drive back to his. When we arrive we head to my room, we get the bags and wrapping paper out of the cupboard. 'I'll grab us some Sissors and tape' Riles tells me 'okay thanks' I say. Whilst Riles grabs the bits I begin to get the gifts sorted into piles, one pile for each person. I move on to putting the pictures into the picture frames. I began to write all the tags for each of the gifts so they are ready to attach. When Riles came back we begin with wrapping dad's big present. The vinyl record player, we the split the presents so I wrapped Tristan's and James's presents whilst Riles wrapped Brad's and Con's for me, whilst wrapping the door bell went and Riles went to answer, he came back in with a box which was the canvas I had order of  Tris and I, I then wrapped it up and added it to his presents.

We were sat having a drink when my phone rang, it was the engravers saying that the dog tags were ready for collection. We went to collect them before heading to the shop to get the snacks ready for Monday. I think I'll give it to him on the last day with him.

Riles dropped me back home helping me to carry  in my shopping I had the dog tags in my handbag. We placed the bags in the kitchen 'I'll be right back' I tell Riles, I went to mine and Tristans room, seeing that it was empty I put the dog tags in my bedside draw, placing the bag which had my notebook music book and pens in with my army bag which was by my desk, we get provided with a larger one which has our uniform in but this one is like a little day bag.

I went back out to the kitchen where Riles helped me unpack and put away the snacks for Monday. We said goodbye and Riles headed back home, as I was feeling tired I decided to lay in my hammock for a bit, I soon fell asleep only stirring when someone put a blanket over me.

Joe's pov.

I had just come downstairs from my office to get some drinks for Tris and I when I noticed Eliza in her hammock I grabbed one of her blankets, walking over to her I lay it on her she stirred slightly but soon fell back to sleep before I left I kissed her forhead. I picked up the drinks and carried them upstairs 'Everything okay Joe?' He asks me as I walk in 'yeah. Elizas asleep in the hammock, just went out to put a blanket on her' I tell him. We have been planning this last week and we were going to invite James Brad and Con over on the Thursday to spend the day and night and then the Friday night it would just be the three of us before she leaves on the Saturday. 

Went it was getting close to time for tea Tristan and I headed downstairs, I went into the kitchen to begin cooking the food as Tristan went outside to see Eliza, I watch as he approaches her hammock he kisses her forehead before picking her up carrying her inside. 'How was your day?' I asked her. 'It was good. Got some snacks for Monday, Riles helped me to put them away' Eliza replies.

Eliza's pov

We had a nice relaxing evening, I started to feel tired. 'I'm off to bed' I tell Dad and Tris 'Night, see you in the morning.' I say hugging them. I head off to mine and Tristans room to get ready for bed, once ready I climb in and fall asleep. I stir slightly as Tris climbs in, I roll over getting closer laying my head on his chest, he wraps his arm around me kissing my forehead I fall back to a peaceful sleep.
