monday morning rolled around faster then ever. i laid sound asleep in bed, having a nice sleep, until gwen and finney woke me up.

"we need to get to school!" gwen yelled, shaking me awake.

"i cant be late, allison." finney said serious.

"fine im up." i said, sitting up.

the two then left my room so i could change.

i got changed into bruces jersey and flare jeans. today was monday so i luckily didn't have gym, i had art instead, so i wore sandals.

after i did my hair and makeup, i walked down and found gwen and finney eating breakfast with dad who was reading the paper.

i smiled at my siblings and walked over to the toaster since i wanted some toast. even making the slightest god damn noise made dad pissed.

"allison...." he warned, glancing over at me.

"sorry." i said to him.

i made myself toast with jelly and butter and sat down next to finney and began eating. it was quiet since we weren't allowed to talk or it would end in a beating.

i sat in art class, working on my clay project. vance had this class too and the two of us would not stop staring at each other.

i didn't mind and i guess he didn't either.

sarah sat next to me and she saw what was happening. she grinned, "you two are so eye fucking each other, it's hilarious how desperate you both are." she whispered to me while laughing.

i looked at her, "shut the fuck up."

"just saying." she said, holding her hands up and went back to doing her project.

"ms. blake."

i look up and saw the teacher looking at me, "the principal wants to see you."

with all eyes on me, i got up from the table and walked over to the sink to wash my hands then left.

i stood outside the office and knocked. the door opened, revealing the principal, "come on in allison."

i walked in and sighed when i saw detective miller and detective wright sitting in chairs. i have history with these guys so this must be good.

"sit." detective wright told me and i took a seat across from him.

"so i assume you know why we've called you down." detective wright began as he pulled out his notepad.

"no, i don't, sorry." i told him, nervously beginning to play with my hands.

"do you know a girl named amy yamada?" detective wright asked.

"yeah. she's bruces sister." i said, not really understanding why i was here.

"well, she said something about you telling her that you had a dream about bruce." detective wright explained, "we're here because we want to know more about your dreams. we want to know why you decided to tell amy this."

"amy deserved to know. it's her brother im dreaming about." i snapped at him.

"can you tell us why you told amy that in your dreams there were black balloons?" detective miller asked.
