december 24th.

the day before christmas.

christmas eve!

dad was never really big on getting us presents. i was really young when i found out the truth of christmas if you know what i mean.

gwen stills believes.

but dad tries.

i woke up to it snowing outside. i smiled and jumped off my bed, grabbing a sweatshirt and walked down the stairs, finding dad reading a newspaper in the living room by the tree.

"hi dad," i said, smiling.

he looked up and smiled, "morning allie."

oh?

he seemed in a good mood.

i walked into the kitchen and made myself some eggs cuz why not. once they were finished, i sat down and ate.

i thought about somethings.

first off, i was fucking kidnapped.
vance and i were. it felt like forever since we escaped.

i wonder if i'd still be down there if it wasn't for all the missing boys helping us.

every year over the christmas break, him and i would always get each other gifts then go to the local diner. every year.

not this year.

"allie!" gwen gave me a big hug, breaking me out of my thoughts. behind her was finney who was smiling, "good morning you two."

"want some eggs?" i asked, standing up.

"sure," they answered, sitting down at the table.

while i was making the eggs, gwen came up with this amazing idea, "LETS GO CHRISTMAS CAROLING!"

"huh?" finney and i said at the same time.

i placed down their plate of eggs and took a seat, "christmas caroling! they do it in those movies. can we pleaseeeeeeee." she begged with big puppy dog eyes.

finney and i shared a look.

there's no way we could say no to her.

"fine."

"YAY!"

for the whole day, gwen, finney and i all played in the snow. we built a snowman and had a snow ball fight. freaking finney threw the snow ball right at my face.

"SORRY!" he yelled.

"it's fine!"

jesus this was cold.

when we got inside, my face was all red and the two were laughing at me, saying i looked like rudolph.

jerks.

i made all of us hot chocolate and we watched some christmas movies.

after dinner, we plan on going christmas caroling. i can't believe we're actually doing this. i called steven and he agreed to do it as well.

there was a knock at the door and gwen got up, answering it, "hi steven, ready to go caroling?"

"uh yeah gwen." the boy said, taking off his jacket. i smiled and gave him a hug, "sorry she dragged you into this." i said, glaring at gwen who smiled sweetly.
