Chapter 10: Tension and Family Letters

{Daniel's POV}

It's been 3 hours... how long does it take to talk about something?! I'm starting to get a little concerned... So, I decided to text him.

D: Joey?! Where are you?!

J: At Shane's? The same place I told you I was.

D: You said you were "talking to him?"

J: Yeah? Then we decided to shoot a video together. We're just hanging out now. Daniel, I'll be ok, no need to be jealous ok?

D: Ok, but I miss youuu :'( </3

J: Don't worry, I'll be home soon ok?<3 I love you Dani :)

D: I know ;) I love you too.

J: I gtg, Shane and I are about to edit the video ok? Love youu <3

D: Lol alrighty. Love you too.

I still have a weird feeling in my stomach that something is going on between them... And I'm going to find out.

{Joey's POV}

As I was texting Daniel, Shane was scrolling through Netflix to find something to watch.

Shane: Hey, do you like Big Brother?

Joey: Of course!

Shane: Wanna watch some episodes?!

Joey: Sure! But only a few. I don't want to leave Daniel alone any longer.... I was jut texting him and I think he jealous of you.

Shane: Why would be be jealous of me?

Joey: Uhhmmm... he think you like me....

Shane: Umm, that's a little true, remember?

Joey: Yes I know, but he doesn't know that. Can we keep it that way?

Shane: Yeahhh I guess.

Joey: That's my boy!

We both laughed. I really do like spending time with Shane. He makes me laugh like nobody else does. After about 2 episodes of Big Brother, I decided that I had to leave.

Joey: Shane, I have to go now ok?

Shane: Awwwe. Haha ok.

Joey: I'll see you soon ok!

Shane: Yeah! VERY SOON!

I laughed at him then I walked out of the door into my car and drove off. As I was driving I was thinking. "Why, all of the sudden would I develop a crush on Shane when I have a boyfriend already?!" Life is such a struggle...

{Daniel's POV}

If Joey doesn't come here soon, I think I'm going to start crying. But, soon enough, I heard a car door.. It was Joey!

Joey: Honey, I'm home!

Daniel: Joey!

I jumped into his arms and kissed him passionately, letting him now that I'm his, no one else's.

Joey: Hey, what's this on the counter?

Daniel: It came in the mail, and it's addressed to you.

On the counter was a letter from his family.

Joey: Yay! They replied.

Joey said in a cute, giddy voice. He also may have jumped up as down a few times.

Daniel: Well, don't wait! Open it!

Joey ripped it open like there was no tomorrow. He started to read it aloud. It quoted,

"Dear Joey,
Hello there! Thank you so much for writing us! We all miss you so much. In fact, Nichole and I are flying up next week to visit! Anyways, we received the news that you're gay. Nichole and I love you so much and support you 100%! Unfortunately, your father disagrees. He was very upset that you came out to us as gay. I'm sorry to be telling you this honey, but he doesn't want to see you until you realize "men should mate with woman" It breaks my heart that he feels that way, but you get to see me and your sister next week! :) Jett says hello as well and that he misses you. <3 Love you darling.

I saw the tears start to roll down Joey's cheek.

Joey: My own father... doesn't accept who I am...

He broke down, I grabbed him and pulled him into a hug.

Daniel: You know what Joey? Forget about your dad.. he's a dick. That's only one person's opinion. Besides, you have your mom, sister, and all your friends behind you to support you. You also have me to run to. I'm
here for you for the good and bad times. I will never leave your side Joey. I love you so much. And I'm sure if you came out to your fans, I'm sure they would all love and support you too.

Joey: You're right Dan. I guess I can just let my fathers opinion go and think about my friends... and you. I love you.

We leaned in for a kiss. But this kiss was different than all the other times we kissed. Most of the time when we kiss its a lustful kiss. This time, it was filled with love and understanding. This is the type of kiss you share with someone that you really, truly care about.

Although that kiss was filled with love. I'm still going to get behind what's going on with Joey and Shane.
