Chapter 20: True Friends

{Daniel's POV}

I can't believe Joey... after all he told me, he goes behind my back and MAKES OUT WITH MY EX BOYFRIEND!!

Daniel: Joey?

Joey: Dan! This isn't what it looks like!

Daniel: Really? Because it looks like you were just making out with my ex boyfriend... Joey, I thought you loved me..

Joey: Dan I do! He kissed me! I didn't want it at all! I feel miserable.

Mitch: Really? If you're so miserable then how come I know you had chicken and a side salad for lunch huh Joey?

Joey's face became a flush shade of red.

Joey: Because you stuck your fucking tongue in my mouth!

Daniel: ENOUGH!! Look Joey... is this really what we need?

Joey: What do you mean?

Daniel: I mean, we keep getting ourselves into trouble. Me with your phone, and now you with my ex. Joey, I think this is becoming an unhealthy relationship.

Joey: No! No it isn't baby! I love you and only you! I promise I didn't kiss him!

Daniel: How can I believe you?

X: It's true, Joey didn't kiss him.

{Joey's POV}

Why?! Why must all the drama and bad stuff happen to me?!? I was about to scream when someone butted in.

X: It's true, Joey didn't kiss him.

Joey: Shane?

Shane: Yup. It's me.

Joey: Were you spying on me?

Shane: What? No! I was taking a walk when I saw you and Mitch in the ally. I was going to say hi, then I saw Mitch kiss you. I was going to butt in and tell you to stop, then Daniel came by. And since Daniel didn't believe that Mitch basically forced you to kiss him, I thought I'd be here to back you up.

Joey: Awe Shane! That's so nice of you!

I hugged him. Daniel was just standing there, not knowing what to say. I gave him an 'I told ya so" look.

Daniel: Ok ok fine. I believe you.

Joey: Yay!

I jumped into his arms and kissed him.

Mitch: Oh come on! You're gonna believe that shit?! ONE witness?! For all you know, he could be lying.

Joey: No, he's not. Shane would never do that to me. He is one of my REAL true friends... Like I thought you were.. turns out your a bitch ass skank ass hoe!

Shane + Daniel: What?

Joey: I'm trying it out. Let me work with it!

Mitch: Fine! But just be warned Joey, I will make your life hell... that's a promise.

He ran away. But I must say... totally not afraid of him.... kind of.

Joey: Thank you Shane, for what you did.

Shane: Hey, it's the least I could do for a friend.

I hugged him again. I looked at Daniel.

Joey: Ehem... Daniel?

Daniel: What?

Joey: Don't you want to say something to Shane?

Daniel: Ugh, yeah. Thanks Shane. I guess I wouldn't be with him wig out you.

Shane: No problem Daniel.

Joey: Come on... HUG HUG HUG!

I pushed them together. They gave each other a healthy squeeze.

Joey: There we go! Well, we better go get Jett, it's time to go home. Bye Shane! Thanks again! I'll text ya!

Shane: Sure! No problem! Bye lovebirds!

Joey + Daniel: Bye!

Daniel and I walked hand in hand back to the park where we were, but something didn't feel right... oh my god...

Joey: Dan...?

Daniel: What is it Joey?

Joey: Where's Jett?!
