"Finally," Adele spoke as Madison walked into the main house. Xerxes had informed them that she was going to the main house because this was the day Keisha was set to be there. Her new roommate to be and Amoy's best friend, and Moy wanted Maddi to be there so the two could meet. Luca was there for counseling, and Adele was there to give the girl an exam because they all knew Xerxes wouldn't do it.
"Ma... and Dad."
"Ja, it's us, and you, my sweet daughter, have been avoiding us," Luca spoke, standing as the girl took two steps back. She had a reason to be scared, and Adele would have been scared too. Madison had a hand in Axel's death, and Luca was still a bit upset about it but still thought of her as his daughter. So he was willing to give her a second chance.
"I-I haven't been avoiding you. I've been settling back in... and scared. Dad, I'm sorry I didn't think. I let my emotions take over, knowing it was the wrong move. I-I didn't... I-I didn't mean for Opa...."
"We're not talking about my father!" He yelled, making the girl jump as Adele quickly touched his shoulder. As she said, Luca was still upset about how Axel died before his time, but all of it didn't fall on Madison. Emmanuel had gotten to him, and she only helped him get on the inside.
"Luca, baby remember what we talked about?" Dele warned as he sighed, sitting back down. "Look at you. Was all that even worth it? Since you were four, Maddi, your dad, and I have done nothing but love you. We could have told your mother we didn't want you and only let Talia in, but you were an innocent little girl. Emmanuel was shit to you, and if it wasn't for that stupid ass explosion or Iman coming into our lives. You wouldn't have known shit about him. If the bastard loved you, he would have shown up long ago. You were another one of his tools in his sick game to get something that didn't belong to him."
"I-I'm s-sorry...."
"We know you are... Alexei, where is he?"
"I told Xavier this already. If he wasn't in the location I gave... then I don't know. I could try Ndidi...."
"So, it's true Ndidi was with you this whole fucking time! How long was she under your damn wing?" Obasi asked, standing by the door. Adele watched as the woman's body stuffed. All that control she had was gone. Alexei stripped it from her with his beatings, and now all she was a scared, scarred woman.
"O... look, we are all upset, but you need to take a step back and let us handle this," Luca spoke as his brother nodded. "It would be best if he knew. How long has Ndidi worked with Emmanuel, or do you know?"
"I don't know for how all. I know that your oldest daughter isn't yours and that the original plan was to take your son and kill you until you started to become suspicious. Then you sent them off to boarding school; it wasn't long after Emmanuel heard the talk about you and this Princess having a love child. I never knew it was Adaku until recently, but he wanted her. She was royalty and had the Abdullahi bloodline. With that, he could rule Nigeria, as I said. I'm sorry for everything I have done." Madison spoke as Obasi glared at the girl before leaving without another word.
"You have to earn all of our trust again. It starts by helping us find the bastard responsible for the ambush that nearly caused your brother's life and killed your uncle. Think of all the places he could be and the names he could have used. I wanted them by the end of tomorrow. Until then, get ready to meet your roommate."
