Everything broke apart. None of this could be true, yet the Corporal was standing there in front of them just as AJ walked in with a sad look. It was all it took for Xylia to fall to her knees and start crying while Barkley quickly knelt before her, taking her into his arms. It had to be a lie, someone toying with their emotions. Although, Xerxes wouldn't put it past Pierre and his men.
They were no better themselves by kidnapping young children, but the only difference was they didn't kill them. They had morals when it came to children under a certain age. It was always easier to use those children against their enemies if they were raised to hate the very people they were stolen from. If this was the case, it gave them hope. It gave his daughter and son-in-law hope of finding their son. The child they all had been desperately searching for. Now it could possibly mean the search was over.
Xerxes felt lost on what to do with his children for the first time. Everything he lived for was for them and the one time one of them needed him to make everything right. He couldn't. X promised his daughter that her son would come back to her safely. This time he was wrong... he was so wrong it hurt.
"Dad, are you okay?" He couldn't register which one of his children asked the question, but X nodded, taking a seat next to his mother and brother when Eva appeared in front of him, kneeling. He didn't understand why until she quickly pulled him into a hug wiping his face.
"You're crying. I have never seen you cry." She said quietly, but his mother heard as she slowly took his hand into hers. Out of nowhere, his dad's hand touched his shoulder as he tapped his daughter for her to move. Something about his dad's touch told him that his daughter needed him as he quickly made his way over to her putting her up into a hug and kissing the side of her face.
No words were needed because Xylia knew. She knew that he was there for her and whatever it was to come and he wanted Barkley to understand that too as he pulled the man into the same hug holding him. Ark tried his hardest not to cry, but Xerxes knew there was no holding back once he started to shake his head.
"Where is he? I want to see my son. Mi has to make sure it's him."
"Don Wright, I want you to understand the child... your son had been missing for three weeks, and we believe he was killed the same day he went. As of now, the only thing we had to go on is the clothing he was wearing that day." The Chief spoke as he entered the room, making X, Luca, and Xavier quickly turn to the man with a confused looks.
"You're telling me you came to our home because the boy you found wore the same clothing as my son! Do you know how many little boys in Germany wear the same band? For fuck sake, it's my parents' clothing line, and everyone here buys it for their children. I want to see him; I don't fucking care what you have to say. I know my son. You may say it's him, but I want to know for sure! I can't wait until you do a DNA or compare his dental." Xylia spoke as the Chief nodded, pointing at the door before anyone could say a word. She and Barkley were gone with all the others right behind them, leaving Xerxes to turn to his parents and wife.
"If it's him, she needs yuh, but deep down inside of mi. I don't believe it's our grandbaby, Papi...."
"Your grandbaby...."
"THIS ISN'T THE FUCKING TIME FOR YOUR BITCHINESS SHIT, RILEY... right now, my mind is on murdering something. Don't let that be you." Xerxes said as Riley stood there with her mouth hanging open. She was doing good, but her mouth always slipped away from her in moments like this, and X wasn't in the mood.
"I think you should listen. You know him better than any of us, so you know Xerxes doesn't play when he speaks. Don't find yourself begging for your life at the end of his barrel before he pulls the trigger." Paris said before leaving with the rest of them.
