Chapter 14: Flatline

Jason's POV

"For Derek..." he said, and blood instantly started boiling in my veins.

"He's with that bastard?!" I shouted, punching the wall.

"Jason, calm down. He's obviously not taking Vanessa from us." Ryan said, rushing outside.

"If that prick even lays a finger on her, I swear I'll rip him apart limb by limb." I said through gritted teeth.

"He won't lay a finger on her," Ryan said, "but I thought you didn't care about her."

"Shut the fuck up." I mumbled, walking into the room.

"Speaking of Vanessa, where is she?" Kian asked, handing me a beer.

"Upstairs. I'm heading up there right now." I replied, opening the front door.

"I'm coming with you." Gabriel said, following behind me. I just nodded and he followed me to the elevator.

"Why do you think Derek wants Vanessa back? He was going to leave her dead at the warehouse anyways." Gabe asked.

"I don't know." I said, pressing the number 8 on the panel.

"Do you care for Vanessa?" He asked, hesitantly.

"In all honesty, yeah I do. It seems like she's someone who I can trust even if I have no clue who she is. She's like another Jazmyn." I said, "I swear if you tell anyone I will chop your balls off with a ruler, slow and painful."

"I swear." He said, putting his hands up in defense.

"Good." I chuckled as he looked at me like I'm psychotic.

"Do you think they'll get to her?" He asked another question.

"No. As long as she's with us, there's no way they can."

"But Alex, he knows everything. And then he just stabs us in the back and joins Derek?" Gabriel said, "what an asshole."

"Alex doesn't know everything, he doesn't know what the Jason McCann has in store." I smirked.

Gabriel also smirked, "Gabe, you're my favorite but you can't tell anyone I told you." I said, as we walked down the hall way to my room.

"Really?" He asks, his eyes lighting up.

"Yeah really. You're like a little brother. But if you pull the same shit as Alex, you won't live to see another day." I said.

He nodded his head and I opened the room door, seeing Vanessa passed out on the bed.

"Don't mention anything that happened down stairs in front of her." I whispered and he nodded.

He took a seat on the couch as I stripped off my clothing except my tank top and boxers and crawled back into bed with Vanessa.

"Jasey?" She whispered, rolling over to face me, and Gabe giggling.

I shot him a glare and replied to Vanessa, "I'm back, baby."

She rested her face on my chest, wrapping her legs around mine, making me smile.

I looked down to see her beautiful face, and her eyes fluttering open.

"Morning, sunshine." I smiled and she smiled back, "Gabe is up here too."

She unwrapped her legs from mine and sat up.
