She's What I Need

my mind is playing tricks on me

kiara walks back into the room after grabbing beers, clean clothes, socks, and shampoo and conditioner to see jj gone from the bed.

"jj?" she asks and no one responds. "jayj?" she asks again while she sets down everything and starts to panic.

she goes to the bathroom and doesn't see jj. this sends fear to her flooded mind surrounded by bad thoughts of something happening to jj.

"jj?" she says and starts crying. "where are you?" she says again and walks out the room.

"can i come in?" she asks knocking on sarah and john bs door.

"sure open the door" john b yells and i walk in crying.

"kiara what is wrong with you?" john b asks and she starts crying even harder.

"jj is gone. i left him alone for like 10 minutes and he's gone." she says and then try's to catch her breath. sarah walks over to comfort her.

"kiara chill he told me where he went." john b said casually.

"where did he go?!" kiara asks him breaking up from sarah's hug.

"i can't tell you." john b says and kiara gets angry.

"tell me where the hell jj is right now john b" kiara says raising her voice.

"i can't because then your gonna leave and then someone will see you and it's too much right now. jj is fine. he'll be fine." john b says and sarah starts to get teary eyed too.

"we weren't even fighting. he wouldn't of just left. where did he go?" kiara asks again growing inpatient.

"john b just tell her." sarah says looking at him. he pauses and then looks down.

"if i tell you, do you promise not to exit this house. you cannot leave under any circumstances until i figure out a plan." john b says and kiara nods yes.

"when you fail to pay your restitution. the cops take you back. shoupe came here and took him. i saw and that's why i told sarah to distract you so shoupe wouldn't see you and you wouldn't do anything stupid." john b says and kiara starts to break down even more knowing that he's in jail.

"this can't be happening." kiara says and puts her head down.

"jj never catches a break." john b says which makes kiara cry even more.

"how are we gonna pay it off?" kiara asks lifting her head back up.

"i don't know yet. but we will come up with something." john b says and leans back.

"what about the gold? can you use that?" kiara asks already trying to make a plan.

"it has to be cash, we can't give them a block of gold. we will have to trade it in for money if we do that." john b says, "that takes at least 3 days minimum anyways." he says and kiara sighs big.

"i need him." kiara says and starts to cry some more and sarah keeps embracing her. she knows that if this were john b it would be even harder.

we hear a few knocks on the door and we are confused.

"stay in here" john b tells kiara and sarah.

"oh hey man" the girls here john b from the other room. john b walks in with pope and cleo holding hands.

"chief? what's wrong?" cleo asks me while coming to sit by me.

"jj. he got taken because he failed to pay of his restitution." she says wanting to sob but she keeps herself together, somehow.

"are you kidding me?! after what topper did they still took him?!" pope said madly.

"yeah. he said topper has nothing to do with jj stealing money and all that shit. and his restitution is thirty grand." john b says laying back.
