Living with other people wasn't so bad.
For the first week.
It reminded him of living in the barracks with his friends. Of knowing he wasn't alone. He had small chats with Splendid when they weren't going over his medicine routine or searching for a new therapist. Splendont was nice, but didn't bother him except to watch him while he spoke with Splendid. It was nice.
Fliqpy didn't do too much at first either. The other was content to watch and observe, making mild comments here and there when Flippy was adjusting. He supposes the other was just as curious as he was of Splendid.
The issues began when he got his medicine filled.
And it started small.
Here and there, he'd hear voices. Not Fliqpy's. But of people he knew he had met and spoke with in the past. Just small things. Orders. Commands, if he had to put a more accurate label on how they sounded. Sometimes, his body would move on its own. Not like how Fliqpy took control, but more like he quite literally couldn't control what his muscles were doing. It happened sporadically throughout that first week, nothing alarming.
At first.
The kitchen knife was of good quality. He wanted to use it for his sandwiches because it made clean cuts from what he'd seen Splendid do when he was cooking and he hated crust. As soon as he made his sandwich and went to grab the knife, he found it was already in his hand.
Flippy hadn't thought about reaching to grab it until after he made his sandwich.
Flippy, stop—!
His vision distorted. He found himself in a black room. The voices returned.
"Test number three dash four-six-two."
Flippy looked around, unnerved and confused. His hands began to move on their own. He watched in horror as he raised his hand and plunged the knife deep into his other hand.
"Flippy!"
He returned to the kitchen. He looked to the side to see Splendid coming towards him, an expression of horror and confusion laced his face. Splendont came up behind him moments after as Flippy looked back at his hand to see it pinned in the counter.
"Ah—!"
Flippy, hold on a second—!
Tears welled up in his eyes and he burst into tears from the sudden pain. Splendid flinched back as Flippy sobbed in confusion and hurt.
There were hands on him. He felt something being pushed under his skin.
Stop.
STOP.
STOP!

Splendid stared down at where Splendont was tying up Fliqpy. This is the third time he's flipped this week. The first time was because Splendont had come up behind him. It wasn't even for a prank or anything, Splendont just happened to be walking behind him when he was spacing out and brushed up against him slightly. Splendont had to knock him out and restrain him until Fliqpy had worn himself out because Splendid had been at work. It was their first indicator that Flippy was sensitive to touch.
The second time was because of the stupid kettle Splendid had left on for tea and it caused Fliqpy to destroyed half of the house targeting Splendid. Not even Splendont getting in the way could deter his obsession with Splendid.
This third time... something wasn't right. Flippy was just making a sandwich and he happened to walk in on him stabbing himself. The shock of his own actions had caused Fliqpy to come out. Splendid thought it might be a shock related trigger that caused Fliqpy to come out when Flippy was hurt and scared.
