Warning: violence
Ah... I did something wrong...
Splendid wasn't sure how to feel when Flippy left. He couldn't even muster the strength to follow after the other and stop him from going. They weren't dating for long, but his absence in the house really showed.
"I need some time to be alone. I need to be away from you."
"I don't want to be near you."
"I regret having met you."His words hurt so much. Had Splendid pushed Flippy into a relationship? Had he tricked himself into thinking they were in a happy relationship? If this was how Flippy truly felt, was he just pretending to want to touch and be near him? Had he forced things without realizing it, putting Flippy in a difficult situation that made him unable to say "no" to him?
He stayed in Flippy's room, feeling numb and confused.
"Hey, I dropped his stuff off at his house." Splendont's voice came suddenly, breaking him out of his staring contest with the wall. "I also left him some food and drinks since his house was emptied when— er, anyways, I made sure there were cameras and sensors set up around his home. If Flippy or Fliqpy triggers one, I'll get an alert from my phone and I'll go over to stop him."
Splendid looked at his brother, chewing on his cheek before nodding. He still hadn't been able to find his voice since that night. He was worried about Flippy. He wanted to go check on him, he wanted to go talk to him. But after what Flippy said... he figured his face was the last thing Flippy wanted to see. He had to take into consideration Flippy's true feelings. He wasn't wanted.
"Hey, I'm..." Splendont hesitated, causing Splendid to glance back at him, "I'm sure Flippy will change his mind and come back."
Splendid blinked at him, tilting his head. Splendont looked uncomfortable, shifting on his feet.
"He's going through a lot, too. I don't think... that he meant what he said. I'm sure he's trying to protect you." Splendont sighed, "In a messed up way I mean. You two were so disgustingly in love, his decision was probably made out of frustration with his situation and Fliqpy's... wishy-washy thought process."
Splendid stared at him before he felt a small bubble of amusement bubble up and had him snorting softly, surprising his brother, "Are you trying to cheer me up?"
Splendont's eyes widened, granted his voice was rough and soft, but Splendid still spoke. Splendont smiled at him, walking over.
"It's your older brother's job to help you navigate your first relationship." He stated, wrapping his arm around Splendid. "I guarantee Flippy will come back with his tail between his legs begging for your forgiveness for being stupid."
Splendid smiled, leaning into his brother. Maybe Splendont was right. Flippy was... well, even if he said he was happy, he was stressed and dealing with things he couldn't control. Fliqpy was... well, he was acting stranger than normal. Clingy, antsy, needing Splendid to be in his field of vision.
He wished he could have understood what Fliqpy was thinking.
__________________I want to go back!
"Absolutely not."
Flippy stood over the pot of boiling potatoes. It was strange, having so much control over his own body. Fliqpy did try to take over quite a few times since they returned, but he was never able to get further than forcing control over a limb or two.
Flippy hadn't touched any of the medicine that Splendont had left when he came by earlier that day. There was a look of understanding on his face when he cracked the door open when Splendont had come knocking on his door, dare he say pity on his face. He figured Splendont would be pissed, beyond angry at him. He didn't think Splendont was entirely empathetic to his situation, with how he was around him and others from what Fliqpy had seen and read when breaking into Sniffles' house.
