"I'm going to an interview today. You can't come with me."
He glanced behind him where Fliqpy laid on his bed. Their birthday was in a week now. Ever since that horrible day where he was reminded of two of the worst days in his life, Fliqpy would not talk to him. He was even been avoiding Splendont by staying in his room. He wouldn't even come out.
Fliqpy shifted on his bed, but didn't respond to him. Splendid chewed on the inside of his cheek before walking to and leaning over Fliqpy. The other was gloomily staring at the wall, glancing over when he noticed Splendid looming over him before turning completely and burying his face into the mattress. Splendid tilted his head at his odd reaction, smiling gently as he found Fliqpy's new mannerisms to be... cute. Hesitating slightly, he reached out carefully, touching the side of Fliqpy's neck.
Immediately the other went rigid. Splendid tensed as well, noticing how wound up Fliqpy became from his touch. However, he didn't react violently like he used to. It seemed more like he was... extremely uncomfortable with his touch? It was hard to explain. Splendid kept his hand there, feeling the muscles of his neck.
"Don't come into town today." He said, clearing his throat slightly when his voice pitched in slight panic. "I'll be back in two— three hours tops. Okay?"
He waited for a moment, watching how Fliqpy curled up into himself. Instead of lashing out with a response, the other nodded into the mattress. It was only then that Splendid moved his hand back so he could finish getting ready.
Perhaps I went too far?
He still felt like shit for what he said to Fliqpy. It was clear his words had gotten to him. But maybe... it was a good thing. He stopped being violent, he stopped trying to pick fights, he just needed to see a new perspective. He left his room, looking back several times to see if Fliqpy would follow him. A surprising amount of disappointment welled up in him at that, confusing him at why he was disappointed in the first place.
"Heading out now?"
Splendid turned to see Splendont looking at him as he laced up his shoes, "Yeah. I should be back in about three hours give or take. Who knows how long the interview will take? Lumpy said to answer whatever he wanted until he was done asking questions so he couldn't back out on forking up that fifty grand."
Splendont nodded, glancing back upstairs, "He still in your room?"
"Yup."
"Still not talking?"
"Not even a growl."
Splendont glared up the stairs, "He's a fucking brat."
Splendid smiled a bit before standing, "I thought you liked him being quiet."
"It's unnerving when he is." Splendont huffed, crossing his arms. "You can't blame me for thinking he's probably planning something again."
Splendid couldn't really respond to that. Flippy was the same way when Fliqpy went quiet in his head. Which made him think they must talk to each other a lot when Flippy was in control. Splendid shook his head.
"I think... he's learned a lesson..." Splendid said as he grabbed his bag. "It's taken a year, but there's been a lot more progress this last week then what we've been trying before."
Splendont sighed at that, "I guess... be safe."
"I will."

Go fuck yourself, shithead.
Let me have control!
Fliqpy sighed deeply. Splendid was out for the next two-ish hours. He was bored. He was in a shit mood. He was tired. Nothing felt exciting anymore.
