His two-colored eyes were still a mystery to him.

Knowing and feeling like one person when they were together, was something neither noticed until someone said something.

"Flippy, could you move those boards over there?"

He hefted up a large stack of wood-boards and turned towards Handy, "Sure!"

On his part, he decided he needed some kind of repercussions for his actions back then. Much to Splendid's chagrin, he asked Lumpy for something, anything he could do to make it up to the other townsfolk. As such, he was given over five-hundred hours of community service. Right now, he was helping with the new fence and playground for the elementary school.

It was March now. Almost two years since he met Splendid. His single medication was a godsend for him. He could function like a normal person and finally, finally be himself. It was still weird though, being able to talk to people and not want to see them covered in blood and dying by his hands.

Of course, he still had bad days. Sometimes, it felt like he couldn't move or breathe. He had night terrors almost every night, from the past and recent time. It happened a couple times before he could finally get some a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. He got so overwhelmed sometimes that he needed to find a hole to hide in. Zappy always suggested some medicine for that, but he always refused. The only one he needed was the one for his aggression.

That. And Splendid.

He hammered away at the fence, putting the boards together. Since a few children died a couple days ago with the metal fence. The wood one would be taller and have no gaps, so they couldn't get their heads stuck. Handy had already sanded the boards down and applied primer to keep the wood from getting riddled with splinters. The playground was already being made with false wood and plywood, more to keep the kids safe as the old one was metal and actual wood.

"Wow, you're still working?

Flippy looked up wiping the sweat from his forehead, and saw Cuddles and Flaky leaning over the fence to look at him, "Hello, to you as well. What are you guys doing here?"

"Just walking around. Coming to see you working again." Cuddles stated, grinning brightly at him. "You've gain back your muscle. Looking good."

Fliqpy got up, wiping his hands off, "I've been on a new protein diet. And working out again."

Flaky smiled then, "Y-you look healthy. Wh-when do you g-get a break?"

Flippy shrugged, "We already had lunch. I'm trying to finish the fence before they finish the playground, so the kids can play tomorrow."

"How come you aren't getting any extra help?" Cuddles pouted, leaning on the fence.

"I wanted to do this by myself." Fliqpy stated, grabbing more boards. "Besides, I really am almost done. The elementary school doesn't really have that big of a space to fence off."

"Th-this is o-one of the sm-smaller schools in t-town." Flaky added before looking at Flippy. "We're g-going to Ashley's D-Diner later to-tonight. Will y-you come?"

Fliqpy moved around a bit, glancing at the rest of the fence he needed to finish before he could go. He probably wouldn't be done until after six.

"Probably not. Splendid had a special dinner planned, can't miss it."

"Ugh!" Cuddles dragged out. "It's so unfair you get to eat Splendid's food everyday!"

Flippy laughed at this, "We get take-out sometimes. He's been trying to teach me how to cook, but I'm hopeless."
