The maze (a newt love story)

I learned about all the different places like the homestead, deadheads, the med hut, the garden and the box in which I had come up in. I also learned about the pit which I apparently had to stay in for breaking the eyebrow dude's nose. I didn't have to stay for long just until the bonfire in which they called it. There weren't many of us there, about 20 or so boys and one girl. Me. I assumed that no one was in charge, they just all did whatever that's probably why the eyebrows dude wouldn't leave me alone. While I was sitting in the pit, which was locked, I felt something in my hair. It was like a pin but not sharp, a bobby pin I think. I don't know how I remembered what the name was, maybe it was just something that just sounded right. so i took the bobby pin and picked the lock of the pit door. I then went to walk around and somehow ended up in the deadheads. I saw someone in the corner of my eye and turned swiftly around. This person had dark veins on his arms and face and he looked ready to kill. out of instinct i ran and he seemed to run after me. He was faster. He tackled me near a whole bunch of tools of different kinds. There was a dagger/ shovel thing which I grabbed and instead of him being on top of me I flipped him over so that I was on top. I used my knees to pin his arms down and sat on top of him to keep him down all while I had the dagger/shovel thing pressed against his throat, not enough to kill him just yet but enough to stop his thrashing a little bit. "no stop or i'll press harder i'm the one in charge right now so you either stop or you'll face the consequences." That caused him to stop and I relaxed a little bit. He somehow grabbed a dagger that he had from his pocket and freed his arm. He then slashed my leg and it hurt like hell. it caused me to scream, loud. A whole bunch of boys including Newt had come running. Two boys got the other boy from attacking me and newt grabbed me he only then realized that i was bleeding. Alot. The last thing I remember is saying newt's name and blacking out.
