I hadn't even realized it got dark. To say the least I was scared, well no not scared more like concerned. I still wasn't sure why they were having a gathering, especially why they were having it about me, but I was soon to find out as we all started walking tword the homestead.
"Alright everyone settle down!" Newt had said to the group of people talking.
"As you all know, Jane here is the new greenie and she's a bit different than the rest of us." Newt said once the room calmed down.
"As in she's a chick?" The eyebrow dude said laughing with his friends
"Yeah I'm a girl, so? Whatcha gonna do about it eyebrows?" I said
That seemed to shut him up. I was pleased with myself. Minho snickered.
"Anyways as I was saying, Jane's new here and considering the recent attack, I believe we should have a leader to make sure something like that doesn't happen again." Newt said as I winced remembering what happened. The room broke out into chatter of everyone trying to say who should be the leader.
"Alright- settle down." Newt said. No one settled down.
"ALRIGHT SHUT IT!" I yelled to get their attention. The room went silent.
"I'm not sure about you shanks but I say we put Jane in charge." Minho said.
Before the room could argue he continued.
"I'm voting Jane because its obvious she can take care of her self, and shes already bossed you shanks around weather you realize or not." He continued.
"How has she already bossed us around?" Someone asked.
At this I chuckled.
"Am I not the one who got y'all to shut up?" I asked smugly. Silence followed.
"Minhos right, its obvious Jane can fend for herself pretty well, she's pretty tough, and she's gotten us to shut up so I also vote Jane." Frypan said. I smiled.
"I believe I should be leader because obviously I'm the strongest." Eyebrows said whilst flexing his muscles.
I tried to hold back a laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Eyebrows asked perturbed.
"Oh nothing just the fact you think your the strongest." I said whilst trying not to laugh.
"How about you two have an arm wrestling competition and who ever wins is the leader?" A kid in the back said.
"Oh this ought to be good." Minho said whilst smiling.
"Alright bet." I said
"Wait let's not-" newt started but no one seemed to be listening. They were all looking at me and eyebrows.
"Alright I want a fair fight no cheating alright?" Said frypan.
"Alright." Said eyebrows
"Easy." I said.
"Ready, set, go!" Said frypan and that started the competition.
