It's been 3 weeks since everything went down. I took some time to refocus at work, I've been taking PTO here and there for the past couple of months now and I've missed the sense of normalcy my job brought me.
I'm actually headed to London tomorrow on 'Business' with the Natural Art Gallery; I am facilitating the trade of an Egyptian tablet with their curators (Little do they know mine is a fake hehe). This is actually the same museum the boys work at, so a part of my demands for this deal was to have Steven there to confirm 'authenticity'. With these extra hands in my little heist, it'll be like taking Candy from a baby.
Plus I really miss them, and honestly just need to vent. They always made me feel comfortable with my raw feelings and I kind of need that right now. I, fortunately, have been talking to Namor about my feelings and he's been understanding, but, he has a lot on his plate being a king of the secret city and the more I open up the more he takes care of me and I just don't want to be the reason he's neglecting his duties back home. I haven't seen him in about a week but we have messaged each other on our pagers like teenage girls who just got their first phone. It's so sweet, and sometimes they get a little spicy, he picked up sexting way too quickly.

My phone begins to vibrate in my pocket, I look and see it's the boys before I answer, "What's up toots" I say with a shitty Italian accent
"Oof yea we are going to try that again," Steven says
"Hi Steven," I say laughing in my normal voice
"Why hello Millie, nice to hear your voice." He laughs, "Just letting you know I'll meet you at the museum's lobby tomorrow at 10 am"
"Perfect I'll be there"
"You available for dinner tomorrow night?" Steven asks me, "Layla wants to meet you"
"Oh," I say a little nervous, "Does she know.." I begin
"Yes but she also knows you are a good friend and she would still like to meet you."
"Well then yea I'm down, Can I bring my boyfriend?"
"Of course, we can double date!" He says all giddy, "Alrighty we will see you soon"
"Okay, byyee!" I say before hanging up.
I quickly shoot Namor a message asking if he's available tomorrow night for dinner:
'Got any free time today and tomorrow? I'm going to finally head to Xavier's school in a bit. I can't continue delaying this and I don't want to go alone. As for tomorrow, I'll be in London for work and I got asked to dinner with my friend Steven and their girlfriend. Wife? Not sure what they're labeling it... Anyways I don't want to go alone because it will 100% be awkward plus I miss you obviously. Let me know what you think!'
The Vibe:
I look in the mirror to make sure I'm presentable; I'm wearing a pair of loose brown flared dress pants, a white button-up with a green sweater vest that I crocheted all topped off with a pair of nude pumps. brushing a few lint pieces off of my shoulder.
"Don't you look pretty" Alter me says stepping out beside me
"Please go away," I say walking away and attempting to leave my room
Alter me firmly grab my wrist stopping me in my place, "How's it feel to live a life without your son?"
"Let me go" I practically hiss
