F O R the next month, Evanora spent most of her time in the library learning everything she could about her family's secrets.

All of it tied to the old religion, which played a significant factor in them being Druids. She learned that's what the symbol on her neck means—the mark symbolizing how she's different from those around her.

The Druid part of them makes their cores neutral because they can practice any part of magic, from the purest form of light to the darkest.

A trait that seems to run throughout her family; all her ancestors have been able to tell the future. Some could only see a few seconds into the future, while others could see years ahead of time.

Some see clear pictures, while some have to solve riddles; it's different for every person.

For Evanora, she figured out she can only see important events, whether they're about to happen or months away.

From a letter she discovered from her mother, every member of the Emrys family has a special gift they use. Her mother's being able to connect with nature.

Evanora's gift is a special case; she's not only able to freeze things, whether that's time or objects, but she can also manifest objects out of thin air.

An ability no one in her family has had since before Merlin himself.

"Aramis, did you ever find out when Hogwarts term starts? I expect it to be pretty soon," Evanora asked, walking out of the library.

"Yes, the term starts tomorrow, my lady."

"That's quicker than pretty soon then. I need to go to Madam's if I'm to become a student. Though I don't like the uniform, I'll just get some different clothes," she mumbled to herself.

"Tanzanite, I'm off to Diagon Alley."

Evanora called out.

Her dragon came flying out of the library. "I see you've got the hang of flying."

She gently scratched under his chin.

"But, of course, Mistress. I can't be a dragon and not know how to fly."

"I suppose you are right."

The elves came to understand Evanora could communicate with her familiar, and while they couldn't speak to him, they tried to understand him.

"We will return later today, Aramis."

"Have a nice time."

Evanora apparated herself to Madam's.

"Good afternoon, Madam."

"Good afternoon, dearie. It's been quite some time since I've seen you here. What can I get you?"

"I'm going to attend Hogwarts and I want something that practically says dangerous but elegant at the same time. I have to maintain my status look after all."

"I have just the thing for you."

The next morning, Evanora was up bright and early.

"Oh, what a wonderful day to strike fear in some people's hearts."

She said, smiling, looking out of her window.

"Aramis." She called out. "Is everything ready for today?"

He popped in, "of course, my lady."

"Thank you for all your hard work and the other elves too. Make sure to take a rest; I don't want you guys overworking yourselves."
