A L E X A pretended to sleep in her bed, waiting until she heard Evanora get up from hers.

"I'll be back in a minute, Tanzanite," Evanora whispered to her dragon.

"So where are you going?" Alexa sat up in her bed. "Because you've been leaving out a few times in the night."

"Guess it was only a matter of time before you'd figure it out," Evanora sighed. "I've been searching for clues around the castle to find my uncle and aunt." She went over to her trunk and pulled out the book she found two weeks ago.

"This is a dragonlord spell book, similar to your Parseltongue book. My uncle Islwyn left this in the restricted area under a spell, so no one could find it. I've been searching for another clue or something that'll give me an idea."

Alexa stood up from her bed. "You should've told me; I would've happily helped. You said your Uncle was in Ravenclaw and Aunt was in Hufflepuff."

"I'm surprised you remembered the conversation we had, but yes, that's correct."

"Well, let's think of the houses' traits. Everything about Ravenclaws screams library and smartness. Hufflepuffs have a strong sense of justice and loyalty; they're like one big family. So maybe your Aunt's clue isn't here but where her family is and probably something she liked to do, like her brother."

"The Emrys manor... Alexa, you are brilliant," Evanora told her.

"I try sometimes," Alexa flipped her hair. "What about your mother? Any luck with her?"

"No," Evanora sighed again. "She left one note explaining the family's magic, and that's all. Other than that, I can't find anything. The only proof I have of her existence is pictures back at home and people's memories of her."

"Well, maybe that's the clue. Memories. Maybe they spoke in riddles to people, and you just need to put them together."

"That's a stretch. If you couldn't tell, my family isn't the quickest to give out information. Hell, they haven't even left me information."

Evanora began to get frustrated talking about her very complicated family. She knows the reasons for keeping secrets, but why is she the one who has to deal with not only one family's problems and secrets but two extremely powerful families' issues.

"You're smart, Evanora; you'll piece all the information together. Even Tanzanite will be willing to help. We'll figure out our family's secrets together. Now let's get some sleep; I'm exhausted."

"Alexa, you're welcome to come over to the Emrys manor anytime you want if you need a break from your home during the seasons or summer."

"Thank you, Evanora; I appreciate it." Alexa smiled in the dark before letting sleep overcome her.

"Are you ready, Alexa?" Evanora called out.

"I'm ready," Alexa replied, walking out of the bathroom.

A look of confusion crossed Evanora's face. "It appears we're dressed for two completely different things."

"Are you not going to watch the game?" She wrapped herself up in layers. "Everyone's going."

"Oh, I thought we were dueling today. I guess we can put it off to another day since people playing with balls are so much more important."

"I knew you would understand."

Alexa practically ran out of the room excited to get to the game.

Evanora sighed. "Wonderful." She opened her trunk, taking out a rain-repellent charmed cloak courtesy of Madam's. Clasping the buttons on the cloak, she held it open for Tanzanite to get under.
