H A R R Y sat down with his cousin.

"What can I do for you, Harry?" Evanora asked. It was unlike him to ask to speak with her. She wanted to keep the conversation short; she had just received word from Narcissa. The only thing wizards knew about Athena Rosier was that she either died or fled to the human world. Evanora just couldn't understand why she would flee to the humans unless she had something to protect. But what was the question?

"Hermione and Ron told me you spoke with them," Harry said, breaking Evanora out of her thoughts.

"Did they?" Evanora looked directly into his eyes. "What did they say?"

"I'm sure you wouldn't like to know," Harry acknowledged. He had an idea Evanora wouldn't take it lightly what they said about how interesting it was that the lightest of families and one of the darkest of families somehow ended up together.

While Harry had done what he could to change their minds, they were stuck on the idea, even if it did insult Sirius.

"It's fine if you do not wish to tell me." Evanora stood up, Tanzanite sensing her movement woke from his nap. "We'll start your training again after the ball."

"Wait? Have you got a date to the ball?"

Evanora narrowed her eyes, "I will not be going with my cousin, Harry."

"I actually meant for Ro-"

"Don't finish that sentence! I'm perfectly content with going by myself, Harry. I don't need a date, besides I have enough things to deal with myself."

"It could be a nice way to relax, I figured," Harry furrowed his brows, "from whatever it is you're doing constantly."

"Yes, from whatever it is I'm doing constantly," Evanora repeated, rolling her eyes. "I appreciate the thought. However, I just have a lot happening. See you at the ball."

Evanora left with Tanzanite upon her shoulders. In reality, lots of people had asked her to go to the ball. She denied all of them. She wanted someone strong, powerful, and confident to be her date. Someone who could make her better while she made them better. But that was her flaw. It was a fantasy she couldn't expect to become real, especially when so many men were below average.

Whoever she decided would be her partner needed to be able to handle an Emrys for all the secrets they held. Alas, time was winding down quickly; the ball was only an evening away. Alexa might've been able to score herself a date to the ball, which was good enough for Evanora. People wouldn't talk about her not having a date as much as they would Alexa.

"What's troubling you, mistress?" Tanzanite asked.

"There are just so many unknown possibilities. We've gone over all the rooms and dungeons in Hogwarts unless there's one we don't know about?"

"Maybe we could recheck some!"

"Good idea. We can rule out the chambers we'll check—"

Your thoughts are clouded, Evanora.

You must clear them to see what's hidden.

What's hidden from you.

And there was that voice again. Usually, it spoke of the future to her, but now it didn't seem like it did. Evanora pondered for a moment as she kept walking. "But maybe it did. After all, if I hear the future, my uncle writes the future, my aunt draws the future, how did my mother see the future? She's the only one I haven't received a clue from, only a letter," she glanced down at her ring, noticing the roses.

"Black!"

Evanora sighed, hearing the voice, another one of her family members. She turned about, "What can I do for you, Draco?" She paused, seeing a boy next to Draco. "And guest?"
