I T was a cold snow day, and Alexa and Evanora decided to go outside down by the frozen Black Lake.

They watched Tanzanite roll around and play in the snow.

"You know, I think Theo likes you," Alexa stated.

"Who the hell is Theo?" Evanora glanced confusedly at her friend.

"The one you told to keep Draco on a leash at the game."

"Oh," she stared back out into the lake. "I really need to learn other people's names."

She saw Alexa looking at her out of the side of her eye.

"What?"

"What do you think of Theo? Do you think he's cute?"

"I don't know enough about him—"

Alexa interrupted her, "just say if you like him or not, Evanora. You don't need to do a full analysis."

"He looks better than the people around him, I guess. I'm not the best with emotional connection things; I've been locked up my whole life."

The bell sounded throughout the school grounds.

"Let's go, time for Hogsmeade," Alexa excitedly ran in the snow, almost falling a few times. "Come on, Evanora, they'll be gone by the time we get there," she shouted.

"I'm coming, just trying not to bust my ass."

"While we're here, I've got to take you to this one place. They have the best food and desserts. I spent most of my time there before you came, you know, no friends and all."

Alexa's voice trailed off as she finished her thoughts.

"Show me where it's at," Evanora said, noticing her mood changed. "I'd love to try it."

The two continued to walk.

"Do you hear that voice?"

Evanora looked around, "which one? There are a ton of people around."

"You don't hear it? It's louder than every other voice."

Tanzanite and Evanora looked at each other, remembering the first time they met; that's exactly how it was, except it wasn't as many people around.

"Follow me," Alexa bolted through the crowds into the forest towards the Shrieking Shack.

Evanora, reacting fast enough, was able to follow her without losing her trail.

"Alexa, could you slow down a little? Running in the snow-covered forest with heeled boots is not the most ideal thing."

Tanzanite leaped off her shoulder, growing to his full size.

Evanora finally caught up to Alexa; panting out of breath, she leaned on her knees. "I hate snow."

"Evanora, look, it's two baby snakes. They must've just hatched." Alexa held the shivering snakes in her hands. "They're so adorable; look at their little bitty fangs."

"Looks like you found your companions then."

"They're so adorable... he... she... how do I know if they are a boy or a girl."

"Talk to them. Me and Tanzanite can talk telepathically."

"It's a girl and a boy. Twins, that's so adorable!"

"Okay, Alexa, come on; they're probably cold if they just hatched. We need to get them somewhere warm."

"Right, I don't want my little babies getting sick, do I? No, I don't." Alexa scratched under their chins.
