T H E next morning, Evanora threw open the curtains, forgetting the view was of the lake.

"Well, that's rather disappointing," she stood there with one arm crossed, the other touching her chin. "Plan B, then."

She walked over to Alexa's bed. "Come on, Alexa, time to get up."

"You get up this early?" She asked tiredly.

"Yes, is this not normal? Tanzanite tends to sleep in a little longer, but I assumed that was because he's a dragon."

"We're animals too, we need sleep!" Alexa argued back.

"You can sleep in tomorrow."

"Fine, but I want uninterrupted sleep," she groggily got up from her bed. "What's first?"

"Getting dressed," Evanora told her as she dragged Alexa to get ready.

After 20 minutes, Alexa was finally dressed.

"Now we need to work on confidence. Grab your wand and let's go. We'll also be working on your wandless and wordless magic," Evanora stated as she walked out of their room.

Alexa quickly followed after, "you can do wordless and wandless magic? How?" She remarked astonished.

"After living so long without a wand, you pick up a few things. Now, onto the lesson: composure. Never lose it. While you can let hardships, people affect you on the inside, don't let it show. It helps to keep people on their toes when they can't read you. Next, posture."

Evanora stepped behind her, pulling her shoulders back. She fell back in step with Alexa, "and now raise your head but keep your nose down. Finally, confidence. Every step you take, make sure you mean it. If the hallway is quiet, your steps should be echoing off the walls unless you're sneaking, in which case, you be quiet."

"I believe I've got it," Alexa said full of determination.

"Great! Let's go get breakfast."

The pair walked out of the dungeons with their heels clicking against the stairs with purpose.

Tanzanite finally woke and flew to catch up with them.

"We'll also need to get you a snake whenever we can."

"You just can't help yourself, can you?"

"Nope."

"Open your books to page 49," Hagrid told the class of students.

"Exactly how do we do that," Draco sharply asked.

"You just stroke the spine, you idiot," Evanora told him as she walked past.

"I think they're funny," she heard the girl who she assumed was Hermione say.

"Oh, yeah, terribly funny, really witty. God, this place has gone to the dumbs. Just wait till my father hears that Dumbledore has this oaf teaching."

"I've heard 'my father' so many times; I'm starting to think mine is actually here." Evanora remarked, side-eyeing him.

"Shut up, Malfoy," Harry said walking towards him.

The students circled around the pair.

"Mistress, how is it that you are more civilized when you were raised in a cell?"

"I wonder that too; it's like they're wild animals."

"Dementor, dementor," Draco shouted, pointing, interrupting their thoughts. Evanora and Tanzanite rolled their eyes, what seemed like the millionth time today.
