UPON ARRIVING AT HOMETREE, NÌNRRA MADE HER WAY THROUGH THE CROWD. With her tail swishing behind her, the girl walked with Neytiri to her mother who was standing next to Neytiri's father. Putting her fingers to her forehead, she greeted her mother and the Eytukan. "I see you mother and Eytukan." Eytukan returned the greeting while her mother nodded.

From their hardened faces and Tsu'Tey's angry figure she could see that the situation has been explained. It was a bizarre situation and the odds weren't entirely in their favor but Eywa had her reasons and Nìnrra would not question her. With perfect timing, Jake was brought forward. Her arm brushed against Neytiri's as they stood close together in front of the man.

She watched as Eytukan stepped closer to Jake and examined him before turning to Nìnrra and Neytiri. "This creature...why do you bring him here?" Nìnrra felt slightly under pressure but was taught to never show emotion as it was weakness. "I was going to kill him...but there was a sign from Eywa," Neytiri explained for them both. "I have said no dreamwalker will come here." Eytukan's voice was strong as he spoke to the clan and Nìnrra admired his power and wished to one day be as strong.

"What's he saying?" Jake asked. Nìnrra almost forgot he was there. "His alien smell fills my nose." The girl's lip twitched at the insult and turned to Jake. "Her father is deciding whether to kill you." Jake appeared surprised and stepped forward with his hand outstretched. "It's nice to meet you, sir." Nìnrra hissed and shoved him back. "No!"

"Step back! I will look at this alien." Everyone let up at the sound of Tsahik's voice. "She is Tsahik, the one who interprets the will of Eywa," Neytiri explained to the confused alien. "Who's Eywa?" The alien's ignorance never failed to astonish Nìnrra. The Tsahik circled Jake and examined him. "What are you called?"

"Jake Sully." And from there it was decided that Neytiri and Nìnrra would teach the sky person how to be like them much to her mother's annoyance.

Nìnrra ate her food quietly and side eyed the dreamwalker as he stepped on people's tails. Once Neytiri sat next to her, she turned her attention to the girl. "Do you think he will learn well?" Nìnrra questioned with a wary tone. Neytiri shrugged in response and handed Jake some food. Nìnrra looked around and spotted Tsu'Tey's stare. She playfully stuck her tongue out and he responded with a quiet hiss.

The next day, Neytiri got Jake up and ready so he can meet Nìnrra by the Pa'li. "Nìnrra is the best Pa'li rider. She teaches all the young children and you are like baby." Jake noticed her voice had a small fondness when speaking about the girl. When they walked closer they saw her with a smile petting and feeding the animals. Neytiri smiled to herself and jogged over to her. "I see you. I'll leave him here and then we can begin archery." Nìnrra hummed in response to her words and returned the greeting before turning to the dreamwalker.

"Come." Nìnrra spoke softly to him and waved him over. After Neytiri left they got started. Once Nìnrra grabbed a Pa'li she walked over to Jake who was swatting away mosquitos. The girl rolled her eyes and soothed the animal before guiding Jake's hand to touch the Pa'li. "Easy, boy." Jake hesitantly spoke. In response the Pa'li slapped him with it's atena. "She is female." Nìnrra chuckled at the animal's annoyance.

An hour later and Jake was still falling off the animal even after Nìnrra showed him how to do it. She sighed through her nose and jogged to bring back the animal. Again. Jake got off the ground and tried wiping some of the mud off of his skin. Her ears twitched at the sound of thundering hooves and she turned around to see her brother and Tsu'Tey. "You should go away." Tsu'Tey harshly spoke to Jake.

"No, you'd miss me. I knew you could speak English." The dreamwalker spoke with a chuckle. Once Nìnrra made her way over there she could hear her brother's words. "This alien will learn nothing. Children learn this as soon as they walk." Her brother hissed out with narrowed eyes towards the alien. Nìnrra just held her hand up to silence him. "Enough, Nì'awve. I remember you falling off just as much."

Tsu'Tey laughed at her response gaining a glare from Nì'awve. Jake looked between the three as he couldn't understand any of this conversation. Nì'awve scoffed at Nìnrra and soon left with Tsu'Tey. "Your brother?" Jake questioned as he wiped some mud off his chest. Nìnrra hummed and turned back to the Pa'li. "Again."

After Nìnrra decided he had enough for the day she took him to a river so he could wash off. Once he finished that she dragged him to where a few children were and sat him next to a young girl. "Kinä do you mind doing his hair for me? I've got to hunt tonight." Nìnrra spoke softly to her younger sister and smiled when the girl beamed and nodded enthusiastically. Once Nìnrra walked away, Jake awkwardly smiled at the children staring at him and stared as Kinä laughed maniacally.

Over the days Nìnrra worked with Jake on taming a Pa'li but he was honestly a lost cause. So they moved onto something else for the time being. That's why they were climbing hometree to get to the ikran nest. Nìnrra listened to Jake's grunts and pants as they followed Neytiri. They would have to work on his endurance.

Once they reached the nest Nìnrra decided to sit on the branch and pull out one of her knives to play with. Nìnrra preferred riding the Pa'li so she never went about claiming an ikran much to her mother's disappointment. The girl thought they were beautiful creatures but she liked to be on the ground where she was familiar. She snaps out of her thoughts at the sound of Neytiri's bird call.

Jake panted as he came to a stop next to Nìnrra. He glanced at the girl before focusing on the rustling trees. Neytiri's ikran, Seze burst through the trees and roared. The sight caused slight panic in both Nìnrra and Jake. Nìnrra quickly stood up and subtly stepped behind Jake. She didn't notice the man protectively put his hand in front of her.

Neytiri smiled at their wariness and motioned her hand over. "Do not look in her eye." Although Neytiri didn't want them to be afraid it was best to warn them. Jake took the first step forward and chuckled in amazement. Nìnrra on the other hand put her knife away and awkwardly fiddled with her necklace.

Neytiri spotted Nìnrra's actions and walked over to her. She softly grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the ikran. "Do not be afraid. Seze will not harm you." Neytiri guided her hand to pet Seze's neck to show she was harmless. Well, to her. Nìnrra hesitated before slowly petting her. She smiled to herself when Seze nuzzled into her hand. Jake and Neytiri smiled at the sight.

Neytiri mounted the animal after warning Nìnrra to step away. "Ikran is not horse. Once tsaheylu is made they only fly with one hunter in the whole life." Neytiri explained to Jake as she lowered her rider's visor. "To become, toranyu, hunter you must your ikran and he must choose you."

"When?" Jake's excitement made Nìnrra laugh quietly to herself and shake her head. "When you are ready." Neytiri smiled teasingly at him before letting out a yip and swooping off the branch they were on.
