A shift in the atmosphere and Taehyung was sure he was done for...
"What the fuck, Taehyung?" Jeongguk growled at him once he twisted the door knob and pushed the door open with extreme force.
The other male was kind of surprised when the heavy wooden door didn't combust at the younger's anger.
"Are you freaking nuts?" The vampire's eyes strictly pointed at Taehyung. "You never listen to me, do you? Why you had to go out..when I clearly told-you..to stay in this room.."
"For starters you didn't told me.." Taehyung quickly objected with a huff. "Take him away? What am I? A prisoner..?" Crossing his arms, and looking way more intimidating than Jeongguk would like to agree.
"More than that you would have been if Rain wasn't there.." Jeongguk gritted his teeth, "Taehyung, why did you even..."
"Well I had to get some insights, and can't stay locked in a room now, can I?" Taehyung tilted his head with a step forward, and released a heavy breath when Jeongguk glanced down to calm himself as well. "Cause you don't really answer me..." words slightly lowering in the sound.
Jeongguk sighed and eyed up at the brunette who only stared at him. The panic he felt earlier was slowly dissipating away as he faced Kim Taehyung.
"Is..he's the one who had harmed you?" Taehyung uttered, breaking off the tension hanging among them. "And the one I need to be careful of?"
"He's my distant cousin..." Jeongguk simply answered him. "He-he and his father were the one..who-" eyes glancing away from either of his face when the vampire mumbled. "Tried plotting against you.."
"Heavens.." Taehyung whispered, bringing his arm closer to his other.
Jeongguk gulped, eager for what else the alpha would say but in fact he didn't. Had nothing else to say or ask when the latter only frowned in deep thoughts.
Tracing his eyes down at the silk robe he was still wearing and that's when Jeongguk mused what he had stuck with an urge to know.
"Taehyung, your...wolf" Jeongguk started, watching Taehyung slowly lift his eyes and stare directly into him. His brows that were drawn together tightly were relaxed. "Yesterday night, I..I had thought V.." the word tasted sour upon his tongue, as he did not avert his gaze away.
Taehyung's shoulder relaxed as he exhaled a breath and closed his eyes with his palm pressing against his forehead, "it..wasn't far from truth.." He said in a quiet tone, though a certain heaviness in his tone. "He would have.." the alpha breathed deeply once again and opened his eyes and looked down, "if it wasn't for you.."
For once Jeongguk hardly processed and assumed the male was blaming him, but once set in, it got him confused. "me?" Jeongguk mumbled with his brows furrowing deeper.
