Jeongguk lifted his head as he gazed at Taehyung with a slight tilt of his head, a realisation sparking in his ruby eyes.
"I don't know if you remember but I had told something before I had left, Jeongguk.." Taehyung added, "Not to go against your nature, Gguk.." tracing his finger down at his cheek holding a small bruise which Taehyung remembers clear as a day. "but you did," the elder stated while taking in the tired and paler face of Jeongguk.
"Tae-" Jeongguk protested weakly with an uncertain expression etched into his face,
"What was the point blaming yourself, Jeongguk? What was the reason for going against your own nature...you look so tired, Gguk.." he questioned as he brushed a few loose strands of raven hair away from Jeongguk's eyes which fluttered closed, his eyes drifting downwards as his shoulders slumped under the Alpha's touch.
"I've just been busy..."
"That's why you didn't take a single rest?"
Jeongguk simply nodded his head in response, his eyes staring into the ones belonging to the older man before him with an unsure gaze, but there's no mistaking the guilt plastered across his features as it showed.
Taehyung sighed as he rested his forehead against the younger's with a sigh and he tightened his hold around Jeongguk, the action bringing the young man some comfort despite his inner thoughts having a hard time to process the whole situation at first; the whole thing seemed surreal, impossible even, but seeing Taehyung here, with him right now, it really was all real.
Jeongguk glanced up at the elder when Taehyung tugged his finger and nodded towards the bed, confusing the vampire.
"Well, Just heard some pretty cool stuff about my...blood-?" Taehyung trailed off, "how its the reason for my..almost demise, vampires still looking for me cause of it...and-" he shrugged his shoulders. "Have you ever craved for my blood?"
"Taehyung, whatever you are thinking just stop, I am going you can-" Jeongguk let out a suprised gasp when the Alpha's cold fingers ran along his neck, following where the veins were, trailing them to their destination. Jeongguk's entire body tensed instantly, his body leaning more against Taehyung's as goosebumps spread over his flesh due to the sudden touch.
"Have you?" His voice was low but the tone was laced with urgency, and Taehyung could see the other's eyes darkening in colour, "have you ever felt thirst for me, Jeongguk?"
"That sounds wrong..but no..I-i never craved for your blood.."
Taehyung nodded slightly as he placed one of his hands on Jeongguk's cheek, turning his face gently, "I see" he mumbled, before lifting his finger once again to trace along his skin and this time the vampire couldn't help but close his eyes at such a tender touch;
"You can control yourself-?"
"I'll hurt you.."
"I trust you.." the Alpha responded, pressing another soft kiss on the side of the younger's lips, "I do..I just want to help.." his voice was almost a whisper, "I don't want to make you feel guilty about anything..you deserve better than a worthless husk who has nothing of value" he explained quietly, his grip on Jeongguk tightening.
