During the break of the day, I go out to the garden of the Uni, after I met the headteacher and signed up for the competition.

I find Enzo laying on the grass. I guess he's sleeping. He's putting his arms above his head and enjoying the sunrays on his face. I walk next to him and see his furrowed eyebrows.

He opens his eyes slowly as I stand in front of him to protect him from the sun's lights. I smile at him and he smiles back. I melt every time I see his grin, it makes my heart beat faster and my obsession stronger.

Enzo sits steady and I take a seat next to him. He collects his papers and puts them inside his bag. After a few seconds, Nancy comes and sits with us drinking a cup of orange juice. Steve arrives running as soon as she takes her place and starts drinking her juice. He joins us, too. He stops behind her, then he throws all what he's carrying in his hands.

"I brought snacks. Who wants some?". He says and two chips pockets fall on Nancy's head.

"Steve!". She commands him to stop.

We all sit together, and I'm astounded to see Nancy and Steve next to each other, especially after her efforts to dodge him.

"You two okay?". I ask.

"Yeah!". She answers.

I give her a look that tells very well that I'm wondering whether she's fine to show up in front of him after that embarrassing kiss or is this a new plan of hers?

"We solved that problem." She adds.

"You sure?". I insist.

She nods secretly.

Steve searches beneath the different snacks he brought. He takes an apple-flavored jelly and hands it to her.

"I know this is your favorite." He says.

She takes it, smiling. Nancy never smiled at him, not only that but also, she had never been kind to him. She ignored him whenever he tried to talk to her or get closer to her through many acts of service. She mocked him too when he used to be a foolish just to amuse her whenever she was upset.

Nancy asks us to sing a song. After she saw Enzo's guitar next to him, she suggests he play the melody and I sing.

I'm unsecured about my voice and I fear the cracks that happen, although everyone loves my voice, I hate to sing alone, but I trust Enzo and I believe he'll cover up if anything bad happens.

"What type of song should we sing?". I ask.

"A love song." A familiar voice says.

I turn back to see whose suggestion is that and I see Cynthia standing behind me with eyes locked on Enzo. She pushes me away with her shoulder taking my place. Not only that but also, she's close to him, too close.

I try to make her notice that she stole my place, however, she ignores me, and she's focused on him with heart-shaped eyes.

First thing first, we hate Cynthia and by "WE" I mean me and Nancy, we never liked her because she's the pick-me girl, she's habituated to flirting with all the boys in our University by trying to convince them that she's unique and she worth to be dated over the other girls. Not only us, all the taken girls hate her too and they constantly try to protect their boyfriends from her. Second thing, she tried to steal Jeff from Nancy once, so we abhor her.

"So, you're the Korean guy!". Cynthia says.

"I'm American!". Enzo corrects.

"Whatever, what truly matters is that you're handsome." She replies.
