Goodnight Sweetheart

Jimmy leads me gently up the stairs "Be careful Phoebs mind you don't fall darling" he says so lovingly ever the darling he is to me. We walk into the bedroom "I'll make up the fire gel so we'll be nice and cosy yeah" he says as I watch him stoking it up going over to him and kneeling on the floor wrapping my arms around him not wanting to let him go as he kisses me softly on the cheek "Just you and me Phoebs" he says to me but I can't speak I just want to hold him "Why don't you get undressed sweetie and pop into bed" he asks me "Alright" I say as I slowly unbutton my cardigan, taking off my dress before I choose to put on my peach nightie the one I'd worn the first time Jimmy and me you know, I still can't say it and get shy about it stupid ain't it considering I'm soon gonna have a baby I'm such a bloody innocent but that was me.

I go to take off my stockings when Jimmy comes up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist snuggling into my neck "God I've missed you baby" he says to me "I've missed you too darling, so so much It hurts" I tell him "Then lets make the most of tonight yeah" he says as he gently rubs my tummy "I still can't believe our little un is growing in there Phoebs" he says "I know" I answer looking down at his hands "it's so scary Jimmy" I say "Don't be scared Phoebs" he tells me "It's all gonna be fine" he says "I know I spoke to Mam about it" I tell him and he can see in my face that I'm worried "What is it gel come on tell me" he says "I'm just afraid" I say "Of what Phoebs" he asks "Having it" I say "I don't know what happens" I say "Well can you ask your Mam, or my Mam" he says and I shrug my shoulders "Mam said it will hurt" I tell him as my eyes fill with tears "But she said that she will look after me and that your Mam could too" I say "Oh darling of course they will" he says "It's just with you being away its daft I know but even if you were outside the door I'd feel a bit safer" I tell him and he smiles "Phoebs look if I can be here I'll be here, outside the door, boiling a kettle well thats what me Dad said we are supposed to do" and I laugh "Then I will, but no matter where I am gel yeah when the time comes just know that I love ya" he says "Both of ya" my darling Jimmy "If I could take the pain away for you darling you know I would" he says and I smile at him.
"Come on gel you get into bed yeah it's taters out here" he says to me as I undress and pop on my nightdress Jimmy likes that one always a reminder of our first night together.
I watch Jimmy undress it still makes my cheeks go hot to see him with no clothes on, he had to be the fairest lad ever, so gorgeous and handsome and he was mine what a lucky gel I was.
He slips in under the covers startling me as his feet are freezing cold making me shiver "God Jimmy you're freezing" I tell him "Sorry Phoebs can't seem to get warm these days, but once the fire gets going we'll be lovely and cosy in ere" he says as he takes me in his arms. I can feel the goose bumps rise all over me, though I don't think it's the cold I think it's the sweet touch of my fella, he was always so gentle with me was my Jimmy, a real loving lad.
"Come here Phoebs give us a cuddle" he says with a cheeky smile pulling me closer to him as I put my hand to his chest suddenly he feels warmer "I've missed thisJimmy" I tell him "not as much as I've missed it gel" he says leaning forward and gently kissing me.
Suddenly I'm all of a tingle those little flutterings in my tummy I get when me and Jimmy are alone like this come over me. He wraps his arms and legs around me covering me completely in his love "My sweet sweet Phoebe" he whispers to me "I love you Princess you do know that don't you" he says "yeah I do Jimmy and I love you" I tell him as he runs his hands over my hips gently touching my thighs before slipping underneath my nightdress and touching me there making me gasp "you like me touching you there don't you Phoebs" he says and I just nod at him "you're so sweet Phoebs so sweet and so lovely" he tells me as he goes to take my nightclothes away from me "lift your arms gel" he says before pulling the soft garment over my head.
He puts his hands to my breasts touching them softly before kissing them making me cry out a little to him. I feel him smile when I do as he looks up at me placing his fingers on my lips "Phoebs you are so beautiful" he says "I'm the luckiest lad in all the world" he says kissing me again "I'm so lucky" he says between kisses "I love you" I whisper to him "I love you so much so so much" I say again
He takes his hands to my knees and slowly parts my legs before lying over me looking me in the eye with his loving face "I love you" he says as he pushes inside me, the intake of breath from us both comes together "I love you, I love you" he whispers again as he shows me over and over oh it's like a dream that I never wanna wake up from.
Our cries, our whispers, the pants the sighs each one telling a story, the story of our love, a love that has been there for as long as I can remember, my darling Jimmy my whole world, my husband, my baby's Daddy.
We lie in each other's arms when neither of our bodies can take anymore exhausted yet elated. "Jimmy I don't want to go to sleep" I tell him "why my darling" he asks "because if I sleep then tomorrow will come and I don't wan it to" I tell him "oh Phoebs don't be afraid of tomorrow" he says "cause we need them to come to bring us closer to meeting our little baby" he says holding me so tight "don't fight it Phoebs please, we're here we're together right now gel lets do what everyone else does, cuddle up like husbands and wives do yeah" he says as I turn to him "Sleep in my arms Phoebs cause I've been dreaming of this the whole time I've been away" he tells me "sleep darling for me" he says and I just nod as I shed a small tear "Goodnight husband" I say to him making him smile again "Goodnight Sweetheart" he whispers as he kisses me goodnight.
