TWs: deadnaming, yelling

"I can't believe you Rachel!" My father yelled.

I crossed my arms, not looking up. I knew that if i said anything it would only make it worse for myself. I was used to getting yelled at by my parents. I didn't care what they said anymore, all i wanted to do was go up to my room and call Alec.

"Do you have nothing to say for yourself?" my mom demanded.

I just shook my head, picking at my shoes.

"Fine then! For the rest of the weekend you're staying in this house!" My dad ordered, shaking his head, "now go to your room!"

I nodded, biting the inside of my cheek. I stood up and walked towards the stairs, restraining myself from running.

I didn't care how my parents punished me. As long as i had my phone i'd be fine.

I shut my door and locked it. Once i figured it was secure enough, I went over and plopped down on my bed. I pulled out my phone, laying back.

Christopher Columbus: hey

Sunflower Boy: hey Columbus

I smiled. I knew it was only him saying hi but it still made my heart go crazy. 

Sunflower Boy: what did your parents say?

Christopher Columbus: i just can't leave my house all weekend 

Sunflower Boy: i see

Sunflower Boy: might i ask if you happen to be busy tonight

Christopher Columbus: you mean other than the fact that i can't leave my house?

Sunflower Boy: yeah well, we can get around that

Christopher Columbus: are you saying i should sneak out?

Sunflower Boy: yeah, that's what i'm implying

I bit my lip, my heart beat still not going back to its normal speed. I didn't care what my parents said. If i wanted to sneak out, i would.

Christopher Columbus: depends, what are you thinking?

Sunflower Boy: well there is this beach i found

Sunflower Boy: its pretty secluded

I ran my fingers through my hair, smiling like a lunatic. He could've asked me to go to some place in the middle of the woods and i would have gone (maybe the woods is not the best example because i love the woods but you get what i'm trying to say) 

Christopher Columbus: interesting

Sunflower Boy: want to come with me?

Christopher Columbus: what time?

Sunflower Boy: does 9pm work for you?

Christopher Columbus: it does

Sunflower Boy: then i'll see you then

I laid back, placing my phone on the table next to me. 

I closed my eyes for a moment, just trying to breathe. And then i heard my phone ring again.

I opened my eyes again, picking up my phone and seeing Alec's caller ID.

"Hey Sunflower Boy," I said, closing my eyes again.

"Hey Columbus,"

"May i ask why you called?"

"Am i not allowed to call you anymore?" he laughed.

"No, no you're not," I joked

"Oh, i'm sorry, i'll leave you to whatever it was you were doing,"

"Wait nooo," i exclaimed, obviously overreacting.

"Okay, i may be able to spare a couple minutes," he joked.

"I swear to god Sunflower Boy," I shook my head, leaving the threat open.

"Should i be scared?" Alec's laugh made my breath catch. I loved the sound of his voice, especially when he laughed. That sound was so amazing, so melodic.

"Maybe, i guess you'll just have to find that out,"

"I'm spooked,"

"Good,"

I don't know how long we talked for. I don't even know half of what we talked about. We just did, random topics coming up in our conversation. I honestly didn't care what it was we talked about, the sound of his voice was the only thing i cared about anymore.

I don't know why, but just hearing him speak made me feel....how do i explain it? Safe i guess. For most of my life i had felt like an outsider, like i was never going to find someone like me. But then I found Alec.

I couldn't care less about what anyone else said or told me to do. Alec was all i cared about anymore. I didn't need anyone else anymore. Not the other kids at school. Not my family.

I had Alec and finally i was happy.
