I ran my fingers through my hair, staring into the mirror. I sighed, shaking my head and disheveling my hair again.
I had less than 10 minutes until i was supposed to leave. I had been standing there for at least 20 minutes, trying to fix every little thing about me that i thought looked wrong.
But my hair, it wouldn't look good, no matter what i did to it. I blew my hair out of my eyes, running my fingers through my hair again. I sighed, giving up.
I glanced down at my clothes, my blue ripped jeans, my white t-shirt and Alec's navy blue hoodie wrapped around my waist. It wasn't much, it was what i normally wore. I didn't really have anything fancy so this was really all i had.
I shook my head, trying to clear my head. Alec wouldn't care what i was wearing. I could be wearing sweatpants and a hoodie and he would see me the same as if i was wearing a suit.
I brushed my hands off on my jeans, glancing one last time in the mirror then walked out of the bathroom, heading down the stairs.
I glanced around my living room quickly, seeing no one there. I sighed in relief. If my parents were downstairs, I would still be able to sneak out but it would make it harder.
I slipped out of the house, quickly crossing the road to Alec's house.
"Hey," Alec smiled, jumping down the few stairs that led up to his front door.
"Hello," I smiled back, glancing down at my feet, my face growing warm.
"Ready to go?" He asked, jingling his keys.
I nodded, pulling open his passenger side door, sliding into the seat.
"Are you okay?" Alec questioned, his eyebrows raised as he started the car.
"Yeah, i'm fine," I shook my head, not meeting his eyes as he pulled out of the driveway.
"You sure?" he cupped his hand under my chin, turning my head to face him.
"Pay attention to the road!," I ordered, pushing his hand away.
"Sorry, sorry," he laughed.
We didn't talk much for the next couple of minutes, and then Alec pulled off into a parking lot.
"Talk to me," he demanded, turning to me, his hands still resting on the steering wheel.
"I'm fine," I lied, rolling my eyes.
Alec raised his eyebrows at me, not saying anything.
"It's just nerves," I continued, shaking my head.
"Talk to me," Alec repeated, "i'm listening."
"I've just never done anything like this," I shrugged, picking at my jeans.
"Like what?" he took my hand slowly, the warmth of his hand spreading to mine.
"I- Alec i've never been kissed before, other than by you! I-"
Alec's hand cupped my chin, his lips pressing against mine, cutting me off. He pulled back again and sat there as if waiting for me to continue.
"May i ask what that was for?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"You said you haven't really been kissed before so i decided to change that," he smiled, his hand still cupping under my chin.
I shook my head, pushing his hand away.
