Dark depths ( discontinued)

Chapter 15

A/n - sorry if it seems rushed and if it's short but I hope you enjoy this chapter for the most part :)

You walked past all the different , beat up cars and you wondered what had happened. You looked around with curiosity and stepped carefully throughout with diggs . you saw that there was a lot of ash and soot covered cars ,  you wondered how it got like this but yet again you wondered how any of this could have possibly happened . you looked at Ghost and you looked towards the cars and back at him.
'' there was traffic and people couldn't get through so they had to abandon their cars and head on foot .''
Ghost said simply .
'' do you think there are any survivors ?.''
You asked curiously .
'' probably , if shuri was alive then that means there are.''
Soap said .
You kept walking for a few minutes you and the others had finally reached the end of the bridge but there was a very big problem .
'' shit..''
Price muttered under his breath.
'' how are we supposed to get through that ?.''
You said as you looked up at the piled up cars in front of you blocking your way .
'' wait maybe if we go around it we might be able to head through .''
You suggested .
'' that could work .''
Gaz said and the others agreed .
You looked aground and you saw that you could climb the fence and you looked back and thought about diggs and how you were going to get him up over the fence but an idea popped in your head.

'' you sure this is gonna work ?.''
Ghost said, confused.
'' I'm positive . ''
You said as you fixed Diggs' makeshift harness .
You had strapped diggs to ghosts back securely so when he climbed up the fence you all would be able to get over without any complications.you and the others nodded and you grabbed the fence tightly and you placed your feet in the holes and you started to climb . you watched as ghost got up first and the others did as well and you did too .  you scaled the fence carefully and you made sure to keep your balance and grip on the fence. You made sure ghost and the others were okay and you wanted to look down but you looked up but you glanced and saw how far it looked .
'' uh Ghost...''
You said panicked ,
'' don't look down alright keep your eyes on diggs .''
He spoke and you nodded and continued up .
It was after a few minutes where you all reached the top and you started to climb down carefully.
You finally got down on the ground and you were so thankful that  none of you fell down . ghost carefully got down and he untrapped diggs from his back and placed him down gently . Diggs ran up to you and you smiled and gave him a little head scratch before you grabbed his leash .
'' alright we head straight and keep moving .''
Price said and he kept walking and you followed on .
Your stomach growled a little and you wanted to eat something but you didn't , you didn't want to eat unless you started to get sluggish. You looked at Diggs and you opened your bag and took out some of the food that Shuri had given you and you gave him some of it . he ate the food from your hand and you made sure that he was fed . Once he was finished you put the things back in your bag and you made sure he was okay and you looked up to see that the others were far away from you . ghost turned around and saw you behind and he sighed .
'' y/n stay close and hurry up !.''
Ghost shouted so you could hear him.
'' i'm coming !.''
You shouted back as you placed your bag back on your back and you rushed with diggs and caught back up to them .
'' where are we headed ?.''
You asked wondering where you would crash for the night .
''Well there is a nearby gas stations where we can spend the night but it's gonna take another hour or two to get there .''
Price said while pointing to the map and showing you .
'' damn .''
You said quietly .
'' so far we haven't encountered any of those things .''
You pointed to the dead body on the ground .
'' no but there out there .''
Gaz said .
'' so like why'd you keep me around anyways ?.''
You asked .
You really didn't know why you were kept around for a while so might as well ask about it right ?
'' Well we couldn't leave you and plus shit hit the fan so we really couldn't leave you . ''
Price said .
'' okay..''
You said quietly .
You think back to when you were little , you only have a faint glimpse of when you were little and you have very little memory of your mother but it was still there . you remember her playing with you in flowers and in the grass . she had brown hair with hazel colored eyes your shitty father had your h/c which where you got your from but you didn't mind it . you walked for a while and you looked at the trees and such that were around , you saw the bright blue sky and the birds were out . this made you kinda forget the life or death situation you were in and you just looked around until you were broken from your thoughts .
'' keep close will ya ?.''
Soap said with a chuckle .
'' yeah , someones got a knack for losing focus .''
Price spoke.
'' oh hush .''
You rolled your eyes playfully .

You finally reached the gas station and it had finally hit night once you were in . you laid down on a tarp that was found in the back and you made sure that there was not a lot of glass for diggs to step on . you were tired so you decided to just layed down. You lied down and rested your head on diggs which he didn't mind and he yawned and got comfortable . you didn't eat since you gave your dinner to diggs and you wrapped yourself in your jacket . The others had gotten comfortable as well and ghost stood watch as always to make sure nothing would happen . it was quick , would you meet anyone on your way ? i mean you haven't come into any problems yet but who knows what would happen in the future
