Chapter 7

Tw- blood and violence

You stared out the window and you saw it was starting to become morning time . you yawned and leaned against Ghost and looked around . you were on a dirt road but you were coming up on  an urban area . there were buildings ahead and you saw smoke in some places assuming there were fires . Ghost looked down at you and he saw the eye bags under your eyes . It's been about two days already since you've  gotten no sleep . I mean who would when you just saw all hell break loose . soap drove at a steady pace and kept his eyes on the road . you hadn't found a place to sleep so they decided to just head to the location early . They didn't know what they were going to do now but they knew that they had to survive .
'' were heading up on the city now , stay sharp and stay focused.''
Price said to soap and soap nodded, keeping his concentration on the road .
'' oi kid ya know you can sleep ? your safe .''
Ghost said .
You shook your head no and you stood awake . you and ghost both new getting no sleep wasn't good but you were used to getting no sleep for days at a time . after what you had seen i don't think you were sleeping anytime soon.you , Ghost and the others  came up in the city but you were stopped by other military personnel . Price rolled down the window and he was met with the tip of a rifle .
" No entry beyond this point , are any of you infected ."
The soldier stated . He wore a gas mask and was heavily armed just like the last soldier you saw yesterday .
" None of us are infected ."
Soap started sternly .
The soldier near him gave him a signal and the soldier at the window took in a deep breath .
" I'm sorry but we can't let you in , I'm sorry ."
He said while going to pull the trigger. Thankfully Price reacted quickly and he stepped on the gas and started speeding.
" we're getting into the city and we need to contact Laswell !"
Price yelled as gunfire broke out.
Bullets pierced the windows, breaking them cussing glass to fly everywhere. Ghost used his body and he protected you by covering you .
Ghost had his window down and he started to shoot back as well . Price turned and soap noticed something in the distance .
" There is an opening we can get in from there !."
Soap pointed . Price nodded and he started to drive that way . You looked and you saw many tall buildings . Smoke emerged from it but all you knew was that you needed to get the fuck out of there . Price drove but he saw something that soap didn't notice .
" We need to go on foot ."
Price spike causing Ghost to snap his head towards him .
" are you fucking crazy ? We'll  die ?!"
Gaz said .
" He's right , we need to get on the radio to contact Laswell ."
Ghost spoke .
" We head out now and be prepared . "
Price said as he fixed his rifle .
The others nodded and they started to move out of the vehicle. Ghost opened the door and he stepped out . You did as well and you looked around in fear but also in amazement at the new sight . Ghost handed you a hand gun and he kneeled down to you .
" use it when needed , don't play around with it and use the trigger to shoot ."
He showed you and you held the gun . It was heavy but it was to keep you safe. He didn't want to give you a weapon but it was life or death now.
He stood up and you held the gun down at your side and you took a deep breath . Price nodded and you started heading into the city . You walked past rubble and many debris. It was dusty and you saw blood smeared on the concrete floor . You tried to shake off the feeling of fear but there was no avail . You stood close to Ghost and you saw how the others had their rifles up and ready to strike .
" We look for the radio and once it hits dark we find a place to hide out ."
He spoke sternly.
The others nodded in agreement and you kept up the pace . You had to look for a radio now . The lines were out and there was no service but maybe there is a radio and you could get a connection from a radio tower . You saw a car that was on fire and there was glass everywhere on the floor.
" Holy Shit ."
You spoke while looking at all the buildings .
" Someone's personality is showing  ."
Gaz spoke with a local chuckle coming after .
You flipped him off, earning a chuckle from soap.
Ghost was surprised at your action but yet again you were 14 and you were only with them for a few days so they really didn't get to see your personality .
" Ghost, are you sure the two others won't hurt me ?."
You said while looking over to them.
" yea you're safe, take my word ."
He spoke .
" I will but you better not be lying ."
You said .
You walked a bit more and you saw something running at you . You thought quickly and picked up your gun and you Shot it dead straight in the head .
" Nice shot ."
Price spike giving you a nod .
" I JUST FUCKING SHOT SOMEONE HOLY FUCK , that was scary but fucking awesome ."
you said in shock to the others .
Soap let out a laugh and you kept walking . Stores were looted and fire littered the city throughout . There were a few more people running about and you stopped in your tracks .You saw how they had bite marks all over them . Blood poor from their heads and some faces bitten off . They were running about but they caught your eye and started running at you and the others . Ghost opened fire and started shooting at them . Killing them  off one by one .
More of them started coming towards you and your eyes went wide .
" HOLY FUCK WE NEED TO GET OUT OF  HERE."
you shouted .
" GET INSIDE THE BUILDING WELL BE SAFE THERE ."
Price shouted as you and the others started running towards a nearby abandoned Building. You ran faster than soap and Ghost and you picked up the pace and ran into the building.
" ARE THESE ZOMBIES OR SOMESHIT ?,"
You said as you watched the others run into the building barricading the door with the debris lying around .
" seems like it ."
Soap said out of breath .
You looked around and you saw that you were in some sort of store .
" woah, where are we ?."
You said while looking around . You stepped over knocked over shelves and you saw many things such as hammers and other things .
" a hardware store , surprised there is still shit left here ."
Price spoke .  
You rummaged around and you saw something and picked it up. It was a black and red bow and arrow . soap turned on a flashlight and he was breathing heavily .
You turned to the them and there flashlights went to you .
'' hey look at this .''
You said while taking it in hand . you saw and there was a strap on it and you slung it over your back with the arrows that came with it .
'' y/n be careful aright , stay close .''
Ghost said while moving next to you . you and the others heard the moaning and frowning from the human mutants and you looked towards the others .
'' we can escape towards the back .''
You spoke while seeing an exit sign in the back of the store .
'' good idea, don't use any bullets, take them off and will send hoards after you . ''
Price said while walking past you .
He walked towards the back and you and them followed .
'' use your knives .''
Ghost spoke while taking out his blade .
Ghost walked ahead and you walked behind him and he stepped over the glass and broken wooden planks and he put his hand on the knob of the door .
'' get ready to stab if you see any of those things , here .''
Ghost spoke while taking your gun from you and handing you a large sized knife .
You nodded and got ready to strike . He opened the door and one of the mutants was there and you wasted no time running past Ghost and the others and you stabbed it in its neck . you watched as the body hit the floor and blood hit the ground as well .
'' kid got some balls on her .''
Price spoke .
Ghost went up to you and you looked up at him with a stern look .
'' don't do that, you'll get hurt  even worse , infected . ''
Ghost said sternly .
'' im fine .''
You spoke .
'' there's a nearby police station , we might be able to find a radio there .''
Gaz spoke while pointing forward  .
'' then we head there but it might take some time so we find a place to camp out before night hits, keep close and don't die .''
Price said as he walked forward in the direction Gaz pointed in . you nodded and Ghost kept a good grip on his knife and he stood close near you .
'' you trusting us now kid ?.''
Gaz spoke as he put his hand on your shoulder .
'' sure i guess , but don't try anything .''
You said while gripping your knife tightly .
'' noted .''
Gaz spoke while walking next to soap . you nor any of the others expected this to happen . The world was pershining  and it was bruning slowly . who knew if there were any survivors but you knew you couldn't trust anyone but your new team . you had a new mission now and it was to find that radio .
