Chapter 11

A/n- this is a short chapter compared to the other ones but I'm slowly trying to come off writers block  but I hope you enjoy the chapter :)

You finally reached the borders but you were asleep in Ghost's arms . He made sure not to wake you and surprisingly you hadn't encountered many mutants which was unusual since there were many people in Mexico . it was dark out now and Ghost turned on his flashlight. He rubbed your back , waking you up slowly so he could set you down . you woke up confused seeing that it was nighttime even though it was just the day which you now knew you had fallen asleep .  you rubbed your eyes and you looked around tiredly . Ghost held you out in front of him and he set you on the ground gently . you held onto his forearm to catch your balance as you were still groggy from just waking up . you yawned and pulled your knife from your side just in case anything happened . Ghost nodded slowly towards you and you took the hint and put your knife back in your side pouch .
'' we need to get over the fence , i'll help you guys up but soap first since your the second smallest .''
Ghost said, causing soap to look a bit offended .
'' i am not that short asshat .''
Soap said as he stepped onto Ghost's free hand .  ghost lifted him up and soap grabbed the top of the fence and pushed him over . soap fell with a little thud causing grits of sand and dirt to fly around for a moment . a goran was soon followed after that and you watched as soap got up and brushed himself off . Ghost threw his rifle over the fence to him and soap caught it with both hands .
'' couldn't be more rough ?.''
Soap said sarcastically .
'' i can if you would like .''
Ghost said while pushing gaz over the fence as well .
Soap rolled his eyes as he helped up Gaz .
Ghost pushed up Price as well and he went towards you but you pulled away from him.
'' get diggs over first i don't want him to get hurt .''
You spoke while pointing to your furry companion .
'' soap catch the dog .''
Ghost said as he lifted up diggs with ease and pushed him up gently above the fence and into soaps arms . soap groaned while setting diggs on the ground and then looking towards the others .
'' that the fuck do they be feeding this dog .''
Soap said while stretching .
You laughed a bit while shaking your head and ghost picked you up .
'' when you land tuck and roll .''
He said not giving you time to answer and he threw you over . you acted quickly and you tucked and rolled as he said not getting hurt but getting a bit dusty from the sand and dirt . you rolled a bit and you stopped yourself with your hands and you got up and brushed off your knees and the dirt that's on you . Ghost jumped and grabbed the top of the fence and pulled himself up , jumping the fence with ease .
'' everyone alright ?.''
Gaz asked .
'' yeah .''
Everyone agreed .
You walked over to Diggs and soap handed you his leash .
'' well head out towards texas since its the closet .''
Price said while pointing to the map .
''  but for now we stay here and camp out .''
Price added.
The others nodded while sitting down and Diggs did the same . you walked over to Ghost and sat with him along with diggs next to you .
'' we can't make a fire since we might be spotted by the light and the smoke so we use our flashlights .''
Soap said while getting comfortable in his spot in the dirt/sand mixture . you got comfortable and made yourself at home and leaned on Ghosts shoulder .
'' am i a couch now ?.''
Ghost said sarcastically .
'' your MY couch .''
You said while giggling and leaning into him more. Diggs rested his head on you and he let out a little huff and you patted his head gently .
'' do you think everyone will be okay ?.''
You asked quietly .
'' as the looks of it right now , not really .''
Price spoke up.
'' you sure were safe ?.''
You said , you're overthinking getting to the best of you .
'' yes .''
Ghost replied .
'' you sure ?.''
You asked again hoping for some reassurance .
'' im positive-
Ghost was cut off by Diggs growling earning a confused look from you and he picked up his rifle as he saw a mutant walking slowly towards them . you looked at the others in a panic and you grabbeds the muzzle of his rifle and you pushed it to the ground and you took your knife and you took your chance and you threw it . you got a hit and the knife went straight through the mutants skull killing it in an instant .  you got up from your spot and you went over to the dead mutant and took your knife out of its skull and you wiped the blood off your knife with a cloth you had on you . you walked back over to them and you sat back in your spot with diggs . it stood quiet for a moment until you got a response from soap .
'' your like a mini Ghost .''
Soap said .
'' that's true , there both always alert and great at killing .''
Gaz agreed.
'' just get her a skull mask and were good.''
Price chuckled .
'' did you know that diarrhea is hereditary .''
You said blankly, earning confused looks from the others.
'' whats ?.''
Ghost said confused while turning his head to you .
'' yeah , it runs in your jeans .''
You smiled while pointing to his pants .
'' oh bloody hell .''
He breathed out .
You started giggling and the others laughed a bit as well from your joke .
'' your making me crazy .''
Ghost said while chuckling .
'' Holy shit she managed to get Ghost to laugh .''
Gaz said shocked while laughing.
'' fuck off .''
He said while wheezing out .
'' yeah i think we should head to rest .''
Ghost said as the others calmed down .
'' yeh i'll keep watch this time .''
Price spoke.
'' did you know that it's impossible for people to lick there own elbow .''
You said plainly .
'' where the hell are you getting these facts .''
Gaz spoke .
'' i tested it myself , it didn't work .''
You said while giggling .
'' yeah time for rest .''
Ghost said .
Ghost nodded and the others got comfortable and turnt out their flashlights .
You got comfortable next to Ghost and you breathed out .
'' Good night ghost .''
You said quietly .
'' Goodnight kid .''
He said while closing his eyes .
Texas was the closest so that's where you were heading . who knew what you would find out there besides dead people roaming around.
