Blaire watched him carefully as he edged closer, letting her eyes follow him until they could reach him no more. She could sense his presence behind her and that alone was enough to increase her heart rate by double.

She welcomed his touch, letting her shoulders lower as his rough fingers explored her scar, not realising how tense she had been before. Lifting her chin slightly to allowed his hand to enter, strangely it made her feel safe, a kind of safe she had never experienced before.

Her body betrayed her and let out a light gasp as his hand tugged her hair, allowing her eyes to burn into his. She didn't break his gaze, she wanted to challenge him and wanted to trust him. She wanted more.

She closed her eyes as his mouth connected with her ear and let out an amused giggle as he pulled away. "Someone's fun after they've had a drink hmm" she smirked, panting slightly she moved away from the chair without hesitation and took the wine with her.

She stayed close beside him as they entered the room and looked around in satisfaction "it's...cosy. You're very persuasive I'll give you that..." she smiled and touched his arm softly as she made her way towards the fireplace, taking a seat cross legged in front of it and began to get it going.

Hal placed the jug of wine she had brought with her out of the way so she wouldn't trip over it and spill it. The room was small but as she said, cosy. There was a fireplace, a large enough bed. One small window, a storage area and section of the room separated by a wooden divider. Behind the divider there was a pump for fresh water and a bucket. The bath beside it was wooden, banded with steel rings and of a fair size.

Hal pumped fresh water into the bucket before making small trips to the fire where he hung the metal bucket to heat the water. "I'm fun all the time, you'll come to realise after a while I'm not so bad." He teased, his fingers brushing through her hair idly while he waited for the fire to heat the water.

With the bath eventually filled after multiple trips too and from the fire place Hal pulled off his boots and tested the water with his hand, a smile growing on his lips. He wasted no time pulling his remaining clothing free before climbing into the clear water and sinking into its warmth. His muscles relaxed and he leaned his head back against the rim of the bath with a long drawn out sigh.

Blaire rested her head against his leg lightly as his hands fiddled with her hair and almost fell back once he pulled away, but managed to balance herself. She enjoyed sitting by the fire and soaking up its warmth, almost wanting to touch it but pushed her intrusive thoughts to the side when she heard Hal getting into the bath.

She bit her lip lightly and turned to face the wooden divider knowing what was behind it, but unaware of what to do next. It had been so long since she had seen a man in that way and he made her crave his attention, but in the back of her mind the walls were still up.

She sighed softly and slowly crawled over to the divider and sat with her back and head firmly against it, she could hear the water dancing whenever he moved the slightest inch and closed her eyes to listen closely. "Hal, is it warm?" She asked softly, now that there was no people around and no reason to shout over the constant murmurs.

————————

Hal sat and stared at a fixed point on the wall in the distance, listening to the sounds of her crawling across the floor towards the divider. His lips curled into a grin and he pressed his head back against the tub to cast his gaze over towards the divider.

"The invitation to joining me in the room extended to the bath, unless you would prefer to carry on our conversation through a wooden wall...." He teased before dipping his head beneath the water. He'd left his hair tied up but the water loosened it's knot ever so slightly.
