Legs bouncing nervously, Thomas sat waiting for Janson, who had left the room for the past fifteen minutes to fetch a girl named, Nancy.

Yes, that Nancy.

Thomas is the new arrival, who just got into the facility and under their care for three days. And now, Janson need him for something. Yesterday, Carter already called for Thomas, interrogating the boy.

Metal door scraps opened, Thomas looks up and saw a young girl who looks his age. Her nose is stubby, her eyes are sharp, her eyes are cold as ice and her hair is a golden hair, curls down her shoulder, clipping some hair on the other side of her head.

Her eyes narrowed down, eyeing Thomas, stepping into the room while Janson held the door open. "Thomas, meet Nancy. Nancy, meet Thomas. It is be a pleasure to meet the both of you. What a small world. Such intelligent subjects."

Thomas stays silent, in awe to see such beauty exist in the world.

"I was discussing some things first. Too many busy cooperation for the latest arrivals. But, aside from that. That's not the point why I'm calling the both of you, here."

Nancy and Thomas keep quiet, feeling confused and suspicion the whole time.

"I have some questions for you," Janson continued, breathing deeply and placed both his hands on the table. "Do you remember anything, before the maze?"

Thomas looks over to Nancy, eyes snapping back to Janson. "Why do you want to know that? Does it matter?"

Nancy stared, as if Janson had just asking the dumbest question ever existed on the Earth. "Of course not. Our memories are erased, remember? And even if we knew, why the hell would we share it with you?"

Janson paused, breathing heavily, looking between Thomas and Nancy. "Because, I want to help. And you can trust me."

"Help us with what, exactly?" Thomas ask, now getting irritated and confusion.

"You probably won't remember but you both are very valuable to WICKED. And they are searching for you two out there, we want to make sure you're safe so WICKED can't find you." Janson said, full of confidence.

Nancy and Thomas are still suspicious, eyeing Janson, watching his every move. Janson stands up, looking at the young teenagers. "I suggest you two will be staying with us, instead of going to the farm. It'll be safer here."

"Bullshit." Nancy murmured, under her breath.

"How do we know we can trust you?" Thomas ask after a few moments of thinking.

"Just think about it. Whatever is best for you." Janson said, tone smugly that makes Nancy wants to throw up.

Nancy nods eventually, not wanting to upset Janson any further. "Okay.." She says, looking over to Thomas.

Janson head towards the door, before turning back around. "And Nancy? If you ever found Bea, please do tell her that she left her water bottle container on her table work in the lab."

Nancy nods, blinking. "Yes, sir."

Janson smiles, which is not assuring at all before leaving the room, leaving only Nancy and Thomas.
